It seems all the success broke Fujimoto. All eyes were on him, and expectations were too hard to handle. Can't say I'm not sorry for him, though. It seems he has all the best intentions, story-wise, but nobody to guide him through with them.

It's unfortunate really, i wish he stopped at part 1 and moved on to other projects. He's a good writer at his peak but it's obvious he doesn't have much to add in part2 so it just feels aimless.

Part 1 was better written, but even having an erratic pace Fujimoto should know how he wants to end part 2 or is he doing an Hiroya Oku? Anyway having Denji as MC for me has way more potential compared with other mangas due to being someone that's both pathetic and cool at the same time which makes him way more likeable than a Messiah archetype character.

There are some other fresh Shonen MC like Gabimaru or Yuji, but for me Denji is the funniest.
