1 player doesn't win titles on his own

Even the 22 finals the Warriors had a really good team. The Mavericks don't. Their offense is Luka + Kyrie and bail out threes and dunk. Take out the bail outs and they're screwed.

We literally saw this everytime Lebron went against a superteam

plus Luka literally doesn't play defense lmao
Kawha did it with the raptors, his Robin was Lowry of all people.

They were a top 3 team in the east without him, and he had like 5 players in double figures + defenders

This is a casual take. The raptors were absurdly good on defense with and without Kawhi

edit: also don't forget the warriors were banged up pretty badly

Lmao hell no. That was the most stacked finals squad. Pretty sure they hold the nba finals record for most players avg double digits. That team was insane in the finals, I almost want to say Kawhi got carried (only in the finals, he did his thing in the earlier rds).

Siakam basically going from a perpetual prospect/role player under Dwayne Casey to cooking Draymond Green in the Finals a year later under Nick Nurse (unfortunate how ugly the relationship got by the end of last season) helped as well. And OG was injured the entire time too lol.

This is a casual take. The Raptors were exceptionally good on defense with and without Kawhi.

Edit: Also, don't forget the Warriors were quite injured.
May I ask if you genuinely believe the Raptors could defeat the Bucks with MVP Gianss and the Warriors without Kawhi?

I respectfully disagree and believe that adding Kawhi, the only superstar on the team, made a significant difference.

Yeah 1 superstar in Kawhi and a bunch of great role players at that time. Which I was trying go with the topic that 1 great fantastic player can change the outcome.

OK how about Gianass's buck 2021 team?

What? I remember that year very well Siakam was like a borderline all star. Was pretty much the first scoring option whenever Kawhi was load managing. They also had Fred Vanvleet, Serge and Norman Powell coming off the bench who were all buckets. That team was deep. Kawhi was just the missing piece to get them off the hump, otherwise they were always close had it not been for Lebronto.

Siakam was really great. Perhaps labeling him as a role player was wrong as he was the true 2nd option and not Kyle. So Siakam was a rising star and that why he became an all star in 2020. Beside Frede, the other two were honestly forgettable. Especially Serge.

No, but that doesn't mean he did it alone. It means what people were saying that entire season, Kawhi was the final piece a good team needed to be really good.

Tatum remains a fraud btw. I didn't expect him to play well, but what I didn't know is he could play this bad and Celtics still dominate. That's crazy.
Jaylen Brown is taking that finals mvp. I didn’t really watch the Celtics run this playoffs but I thought Tatum played a big part, Jaylen won the East finals mvp too lol. Tatum only wakes up for Philly from what I have seen.

Tbf tho he’s been defending, passing and rebounding well. They haven’t needed anything else since the whole team can shoot and make up for any off nights for Tatum.

Curry had 3 players avg 15+ ppg plus they were a very good defensive team. The Mavs are just an ISO show
Curry had that goat game 4 that saved the series and Celtics were by far a better team than that Warriors.
I miss the warriors tbh, can somebody trade everybody else while Curry is still a top 10 player.

Tatum has only been off this series. He's averaging 30 10 6 the entire playoffs

TIL Jayson Tatum didn't grow up in a single mom household with a deadbeat dad lol. Tatum must really hate his dad to never mention a single word about his dad (while his mom is in his commercials nonstop)
