I say smth wild, luffy gains a power up, maybe the mother flame as mentioned by someone, the Gorosei freak out and the 5 of them use a secret technique to bring down Luffy and get him jailed. That is the event... ? It has been proposed probably. Gorosei ain't going down. It's too much power. A million noobs cant make up for it.
If Gorosei were to be defeated then kuma removes their pain or does smth. Maybe he is the key to transfer it to Gorosei

I do think gorosei will get defeated in this arc .

Heck world reaction doesn’t seem shocked at world sinking event . Whitebeard speech “ One piece is real “ is shocking event to the world and sengoku got mad /afraid of it.

I’ve been on all of the gorosei falling here mainly because biblically the seraphs serve god and I don’t really see any spot for the “strongest beings” as adults to reside besides by the god of this verse imu replacing the 5 elders. Remember as well that bb does sometimes benefit from luffy wins like him escaping impel down lead to him getting shiryu etc. This major win for luffy would pave the way for Catarina to get to imu as the last surviving member of the gorosei, ultimately I see imu being more of a bb victim than luffy taking him out.
5 elders? People dont even know about them lol. Great haki? People dont know about that or how strong they are or if they even could be strong.

Exactly, the annihilation of all the Elders fits perfectly with Blackbeard's plan and Katarina's plotline of posing as Saturn.
She will probably convince Imu to crown Blackbeard into a king. Just like Laffite convinced Sengoku to make Blackbeard into a Warlord.

Funny, as someone who read WCI weekly, I remember some people making up different bs reasons and excuses for why Big Mom had to get defeated during the WCI arc.
As well as people who thought WCI was going to be a short escape arc, now we are on Egghead and it looks like things still haven't changed.
