Materialists: "There is no free will"

Idealists: "There is free will"

There is no limit to the depravities materialism opens the door to defending, in throwing out the concept of free will
The absence of free will is a simple observation mate and like I demonstrated previously, being a materialist will not prevent you from being a human being.

Human beings are social animals conditionned by their environment, biology and sociological contexts. No person can escape those facts. This means that - unless you have a pathology - you can't live without a sence of morality.

And the more materialist you are, the more precise your sence of morality will be according to reality and your empathy.

This is why you will find mostly progressists and socialist in the materialistic side, and mostly bigots or capitalists in the idealistic side.

Yes, however free will is necessary to choose to follow said conditions.

No free will = no ability to choose, meaning no accountability or obligation to do good

Yeah except it's wrong, humans do have free will 👍

Utter nonsense, and you cannot present any working definition of what morality is in the first place, just like you cannot define "understanding", or what a "thought" is.

By your own words, you think everything is an illusion and as I said I cannot help mental illness

Technically yes. That's why - for the moment - we can't adapt our world to this knowledge. It must be done step by step.
And yes, one day in a far far FAR future. This will mean the ending of the notion of accountability that will be compensated by the appropriate system to coutner problematic behaviors.

Now, about the obligation to do good, it won't disappear as long as we leave together. Again, we are social animals and to be social, you need to behave socially. This means according to the implicite rules of the group.

Again, the absence of free will is not the absence of empathy or morality.

Cute. but no.

Again, I think you don't understand what materialism is.

Yes, reason-followers do tend to be idealistic
LMAO

No

There is a reason why the scientific method largely influence by materialism mate

What you think are "reason followers" are people who use only the part of science that suits their point of view.

Materialists embrasses ALL type of sciences.

Because men are generally not as weak as Logiko.

Uncle Van

Bullets don't hurt. But Taxes do.
@Uncle Van this is like the second coming of Reagan my guy. The last bastions and protections that we have for the middle class will be swept from underneath them as they cheer him on. Truly a dark day for our future generations.
Trump's #1 goal is having complete executive power to do what he wants. During his first run, he overhaul certain federal employment jobs so that they can be fired whenever, so that he can replace them with yes men. It's a "legal" way of eliminating political opposition.

He definitely gonna continue that mission.

That’s a convenient reductionism to push a specific agenda.

Lincoln project are also republicans who hate Trump.

him being registered means nothing, but him donating for a progressive cause does, but nevertheless it‘s still too early to blame it on one side or the other.
Left wing media always incited hatred towards anyone even slightly right of center politics. Also vilifying Trump as being similar to Hitler and clearly that sort of false rhetoric has consequences.

Do you know what type of jokes?
Nvm, just this:
"A classmate said Crooks had said some “concerning” things in high school, but didn’t elaborate."

Holy fuck I'm losing IQ just by engaging with you

Earlier you said you can have knowledge without truth, now you say you can choose to behave according to rules without free will, holy shit dude you may as well say 2 + 2 = 5 with all these logical contradictions
