Neither Kid nor the rest of the Supernovas are real rivals to Luffy. They could have been but it's been obvious since Dressrosa, where Luffy bear Doflamingo and showed that he was far above Law and got his own allied fleet, that the manga wasn't going in that direction, and I don't think that Oda ever really wanted it as it was due to his editors that he created the Supernovas, with Wano where Kid joined the Luffy cheerleaders wagon, and its aftermath being the final nails in the coffin.

Kid will surely return but he will never be Luffy'd rival or equal, and will surely become one of Luffy's ally again.

And I am skeptical about Luffy fighting Shanks, since he didn't really have any fight with Big Mom, and even if she returns in Elbaf I doubt that she'll be an antagonist again (not for long even if she does) with her turning into O-Lin for good this time, while Shanks is fated to have his great confrontation with Blackbeard.
There always has been only one serious rival to Luffy - Blackbeard

Rest might have same goal but they don't get the same rivalry portrayal like Luffy and BB

I am sure that Oda only created the Supernovas due to editor's pressure and that he never had the intention of truly making them rivals to Luffy. Luffy being considered one of the 11 Supernovas, and the Worst Generation were just marketing.

He visibly became fond of Law, and to a lesser extent of Bege and Bonney, to the point of giving Law so much focus and screentime, but never intended for them to be more that allies and cheerleaders to Luffy.

Kidd's only purpose in the story is to do one specific thing in one specific moment. Other than that, he is irrelevant, both lore wise and combat wise.
If anyone hopes he will be strong enough to be a top tier at some point, let it go now, he aint that guy.
His usefulness will be through his Devil fruit, at some point his magnetic ability will come in handy and that's all.

So what you're basically saying is that they're tied together because they're both ginger cripples, and then you list a bunch of headcanon events that you think will happen later, most probably, with no real arguments for why you think they're likely to happen.

Oda has gone out of his way to show Kidd is a self-centered, arrogant, evil loser, who despite getting his ass handed to him with barely any effort multiple times still has the most cocky attitude of any supernova, and is downright cruel to people far weaker than himself. He's set up to be rooted against. Kidd himself has said explicitly that if you can't hack it in the New World, that if you aren't strong enough, then anything is fair game and you deserve whatever hurt comes your way.

Shanks one-shotting Kidd is a fine ending to complete his arc, where he realizes that in reality he's one of those weak people that he preyed upon himself for years. His hubris was his downfall. He thought he was tough shit because he got carried by Law in the fight with Big Mom (who Oda even made say that she was impressed by Law, but didn't even bother commenting on Kidd), but in the end he can't hack it by himself. He's no Pirate King material, which was his only goal.
(It wasn't great for the overall story because it ruins Big Mom/Kaidou indirectly even further, but Oda doesn't care about keeping the story consistent, so what are you going to do.)

His arc IS Lodestar.
I've been saying it for years at this point...

Lodestar's theme is MAGNETISM, it's been said already more than one time in the story, and it's implied in the name too.

That's also Nami's "arc" in terms of SHs, like Jinbei's was Fishman Island, Sanji's was Whole Cake, Zoro's was Wano, Franky's was Egghead, Usopp's will be Elbaf and so on...

Nah, i don't like this at all. Shouldn't have got cross guild involved, just to hype kidd
If it doesn’t happen then the alternative is Oda turns Shanks and Cross Guild into hype tools.

Teach kills Shanks
Shiryu kills Mihawk

and that’s the SHs final obstacle to one piece.

what I find ironic is that Shiryu killing Mihawk is about as unpopular as this theory. Maybe even moreso.

While I’ve considered both possibilities. It seems like Shanks/CG being the final obstacles makes more sense. If only because the other possibility involves Oda pump and dumping characters he’s wanked for over 20 years.

Teach already got Hancock and Law as his hypetools. He doesn’t need another one.

The BBP are formidable. But they’re kinda incompetent tbh. Their stupidity will probably cost them in elbaf.

Shanks and CG will be a much greater threat than the BBP.

There’s a lot of build up for Shanks vs Luffy

if Shanks is leaving elbaf then what arc will he be featured in? It’s clear. Lodestar.

Oda named all 85 children of Big Mom.

But for Kid's Crew? Nah you don't need to remember all of their names lol.
I do believe he named them later on but it doesn't matter since he just slapped their names together using a bunch of rock and metal puns iirc
It's, funny enough, just like the food theme of Big Mom's crew. So it's kind of funny you mentioned her crew

Tbf he didn’t even care enough to name half of the heart pirates either

While they’re individually important a majority of their crew isn’t. Plus big mom’s kids were probably fun to draw lol. Oda would probably draw all 500 gifters before drawing half of shanks’s crew just because they’re more fun for him
