Now that Vegapunk's message is over, I can now say that it was trash.

The beginning I thought was good but the rest was just useless yapping from Vegapunk. The message did not need to be that long.

The only two reason why I think the message was dragged is because:

1. Shueisha and Oda's Editors probably forced him to drag it out, so Egghead would go on longer.

And 2. Because Oda wanted just wanted to show reactions and panels from all these different characters.

We got more info lorewise than the last 20 years of OP,but as you say too much yapping and in classical Oda fashion important parts where cut out due to the Den losing Signal.
I expected a bit more after VP strong start of the message.
