Yup. Biased toward people whose lives are in potential or real danger.
Which doesn't surprise me, she probably wanted you to be sure that she was indeed a trans women. She was most likely not correcing you, she was just making sure not to put her own life in danger.

I feel like, and this is just my personal experience, people today are too much focused on labels. Doesn't matter if you left, right, center and so on. They get so much into labels they forgot the most important one, their actual name.
I genuinely don't care who or what someone is, after working 3-4 years now on court i've seen so many people from all different backgrounds and all just want same thing - peace and respect
And I feel like politicians know this and use it against people so we keep fighting between ourselves rather than them

@Logiko You know it is two-sided that people who vote republicans feel threats from left. A major one of mine is my parental rights, which is one I don't think I have talked about here, recently anyway. Other people feel threatened by an open border.
People on each side have concerns that are heavy for them and others that don't matter to them. So there is no excuse for people condoning what happened. Unless you will provide the same excuse to the right, if it happened the other direction.

Trans women put their lives in danger when they don't precise the fact that they are trans women.
This month a trans women has been killed in France for this very reason (stabbed multiple times).
Why do you fear for you parental rights because of the left ?
Which is an illegitimate feelings. No lives are threatenned because more people arrive. This feelings stands on the bias that strangers are inherant criminals. When in reality, it was shown that there is less crime with newly arrived immigrant than with integrated and naturalized ones.
I understand the feeling. But this is not a logical and rationnal one.
You are comparing the fears of two sides that are completely uncomparable.
On one side, people are afraid because of their biases and bad informations, not real threats. On the others hands, the other side which is in reality the side that is invisibilized is fearing because of TANGIBLE and DOCUMENTED threats.
Its like comparing the struggles of incels and the struggles of women. There are things that are not comparable. Yes. There are real fears on both sides, but they stand on two very different grounds.
I do not make excuses. I do not agree with those people.
