General & Others The Significance of latest Panel : Why Mihawk is his own worst enemy.

#25
You don't believe an ounce of this crap.

Mihawk is the only Warlord whose rivalry with a Yonko ended in him being the one viewed as superior.

Who the fuck thought Moria was equal to Kaido?
Superior in which sense?
Shanks is an emperor, has a higher bounty and by decree, untouchable by marines. Mihawk is hunted by them, has a lower bounty and had to make an alliance with Chrock and Buggy to "remain in peace".
The only superiority is in the sword skills, but Shanks is also an handicap.

Superior in the one thing they ever actually competed against each other in?

From what I see, he already gave up on his dream of being pirate king.
Why be a pirate if not for that?
If being a swordsman is all about being the strongest, then the same logic must hold for being a pirate, right?

Also, we have no clue why they had one duel, it could be any reason.

Mihawk is irrelevant in bigger picture of this manga which is race for one piece. Without Zoro there would be no Mihawk , he does not have any purpose in story except that one day he will be surpassed / defeated by Zoro.

What makes you think Mihawk wanted to be the Pirate King?
What makes you think Shanks wanted to be strongest swordsman?
As I said, Mihawk is superior to Shanks, canonically, only in sword skills.
Shanks on the other side is an emperor, feared by the Marines and untouchable, and has a higher bounty.
Which makes him superior to Mihawk on a variety of fields.

Why does it matter what Shanks wanted?

Is WSS something Mihawk wanted, or just what he is? It's not even the same comparison, because Shanks isn't Pirate King while Mihawk IS the WSS.

We are explicitly told that Shanks was Mihawk's biggest rival and both the World Government and Whitebeard have knowledge of this, yet they still believe Mihawk is the strongest swordsman.

The original post I quoted was trying to imply that Mihawk is a "failed rival" of the Yonko just like Crocodile and Moria, lmfao. I don't care what other accolades Shanks has. Mihawk is obviously the outlier of the Warlords, as indicated by his Yonko-level bounty as a "subordinate" while no other OG Warlord has even cracked 2Bil

Where was that mentioned in his bounty ?
So by your logic Kaido’s bounty has absolutely nothing to do with having a Yonko crew, causing havoc on Marines and Wano, and solely for his strength, which based on bounty is far greater than Mihawk’s then?
