Depends which kind of philosophy and what topics it covers.

It's really ridiculous how these folks say "oh writers should earn more". Which writers? What niche of writers? Follow the market trends and demands.

Some writers make good money others don't.

Some philosophers earn also very good money by selling interesting books. Hah! Or rather it depends what they focus on and what value they bring to society.

Exactly, you earn as much as people think you need to earn. A high level athletes earns more money than the average teacher.

I take breaks. Somewhat procrastinate and allow my subconscious to figure out some things for me. I did clear a few tasks at least.

Find something else to do side by side with whatever you are doing, if that makes it easier.
