General & Others Unpopular Opinions?

Yeah it used to be enough. Oda's writing has generally just become stale now
The first arcs post-timeskip up until Dressrosa all had their problems and issues, with the problems of the arcs length becoming too long and of the story being stalled starting in Dressrosa, but it's really with Whole Cake Island especially during the second half that it became clear that there were real issues to Oda's writing though most people at the time dismissed it, claiming that the flaws of WCI would be corrected or avoided in Wano arc and that Wano would be the best arc ever.

But oh boy they, nor anyone else were prepared for what would happen in Wano arc.

but WEDDDDDDDINNNNNGGGG CAKKEEEEEEEE

My main problems in WCI were Sanji losing his memory because that stopped any character development, Sanji and Luffys childish brawl and luffy fighting katakuri. It didn't make any sense for katakuri to be stronger than Doffy.

Well Katakuri is the number 2 of a Yonko crew in terms of power, it's only natural that he was stronger than Doflamingo, I don't think that you would expect Marco to be weaker than Doflamingo.

How so? Maybe a Yonko being stronger than Shichibukai makes sense but there is no reason why a number 2 should be stronger and Katakuri was much stronger because of his future sight ability. I think the power scaling stopped making sense in WCI.

Given how strong Yonkos are, and how Marco was able of fighting admirals at Marineford, it was obvious that the Yonkos' numbers 2 would be stronger than most Warlords outside of Mihawk.

He is his own boss:doffytroll:
Are you laughing?

Its true. Doffy just had Kaido as a partner.

Nah, Marco doesn't even defeat King, a race that even Whitebeard highlighted as God in the ancient history while Marco is just Marco, and even Ace was hailed to be stronger.

Marco might beat Moriah.

I am left unimpressed and disappointed about Zoro's character development, especially since the timeskip with his character having evolved and matured far far less than his power levels, with Wano having been a huge missed opportunity for his character development as much as his swordmanship and haki.

Even for his power progression and progress toward his dream I find it underwhelming that Zoro is the only character who really shows any interest into becoming the strongest swordsman in the world and to dethrone Mihawk as the WSS, with him having no competitor or rival who shows any interest into beating Mihawk and taking the title for themselves.

Don’t think it’s unpopular but more random…

I feel like in the anime especially in the later parts of Luffy vs Kaido, the dragon form felt more and more Kaiju like which I enjoyed. Specifically the stance and sound effects. Major King Ghidora or early Godzilla vibes.

As much as I enjoyed Kaiju no 8., it didn’t nearly do as creative as an homage as what Kaido and Toei did in a subtle way

As unhappy as swordhaters might get, Divine Departure is indeed a cutting technique and not brute force. See how the slash cuts Kid's ship? Hear the same sound effect that appears when Mihawk or Zoro cut?

Muhh bUt dD LeAvEs nO cUt wOuNdS? It doesn't need to.
