Issue with Buggy statement is that official translation never said "equal" (correct me if I am wrong but said this

I'm still not decisive on whether to put the mid-gen top tiers above the old-gen top tiers. I think it could be possible that Saka already is above him, but there really isn't enough hype for them compared the oldies for me to put em above. I mean I've made the argument for Sengoku > Logia trio pre-TS as well. And in the Garp vs Kuzan I think Garp looked superior.
So, I wouldn't be surprised if Akainu was indeed superior to Prime Garp, I have said in the past I do see Saka/Fuji being above prime Garp when it's all said and done since they're the Garp/Kong of the mid-gen.

I'm with you on WB>Garp (and WB>Roger even) but the hypocrisy regarding Oldbeard vs the Yonko gotta stop.
He's called the strongest until his death even after the war ended by Sengoku and even 2 years later by Doflamingo who stated he was gatekeeping the other Yonko.
The argument that he was not on his meds ot whatever is kinda retired. That'd be like saying the Kaido who fought G5 isn't the so called strongest creature because Yamato noted his power over clouds was weakening and he was visibly tired.
The diminished WSM is still the WSM no matter what. Also there is zero statement about WB losing in raw power due to his condition.
