Voted the 3rd option, but I don't think it will be about proving DF > haki. I have a "theory" for a while where Shanks loses because Teach somehow steals his haki, in a true pirate fashion. I don't have any evidence to back it up, but the last chapter with the haki imbued joyboy rope increased the possibility of it happening imo.

BB will somehow beat Shanks and prove that DFs + Haki > Haki alone. You can't become the absolute strongest by Haki alone

People often overlook one key aspect - BB was on WB ship for decades. He has knowledge on haki and DFS. I mean he was the first person who commented on Luffy's haki is growing pre ts.

Yet, he is going after DFS.

Yes, at the end haki will triumph but don't sleep on DFS.

I for one believe that Shanks will die to Imu, not BB. I hate to admit it as well but Oda will not make Shanks lose to BB in a clean fight. The only character I can see doing that is Imu so I’d rather see Imu use Shanks as a hypetool than BB jobbing left and right to Shanks lmao

OT:
Shanks is modern Roger, Teach is modern Xebec. Outcome of the fight doesn’t prove anything either. It will be like a Kaido and Oden situation where Shanks will look cool but Teach will only show his full power against Luffy.
