Oda wanted to write a smart guy, but a character is only as smart as his creator, and Oda needed to make Vegafraud as dumb as possible to move the plot along in the dumbest way possible . . . for reasons.
A healthy human brain has the potential to hold over 2 petabytes of information, yet Vegapunk, with a magic fruit-powered brain the size of a sperm whale and a reputation as the greatest genius on vearth, doesn't even have a basic grasp on common sense or reasoning. I know INT and WIS stats aren't shared but come on. Even LOda must've have some modicum of self-awareness when he wrote this, right? Does a dick-sucking editor really make that much of a difference?
This can't be the same man who wrote Skypiea.

2-Blackbeard raiding Kuja island.
3-Kidd vs Shanks(hypest thing this arc).
4-Law vs Blackbeard & BBP.
5-Garp vs Aokiji & BBP.
6-Luffy vs Kizaru and Lucci.
7-Luffy vs Gorosei.
8-Bonney flashback.
9-Conclusion to Kuma's arc.
10-Introduction to Vegapunk and conclusion to his arc.
11-Gorosei powers revealed.
12-More lore about the void century.
13-Joyboy silhoutte.
14-Dorry and Broggy.
15-Akainu almost killing Kuma.
16-More about Blackbeard: captured Pudding/Garp/Law's crew, got two road ponelgyphs, got to copy the identity of one Gorosei, planning to become King, will finally meet Caribou and learn the location of two ancient weapons.
This arc hyped up Blackbeard a lot for the next few arcs, Oda has a lot of possibilites here to set up an arc better than Wano.

Less than 10% of posters here actually read One Piece. But that's why I love this forum 
Meanwhile you have places like this and NF, where most of the users are just having a dick measuring contest between Zoro and Sanji, or Shanks and Mihawk, or Yonko's and Admirals.
