Im not in the mood to write a long write up but lets just say people just misjudge very often who the author likes and thinks it important. Maybe another time/next chapter i write something about it. Like in bleach for example the whole final arc and SS going to shit and every bad thing happening had inherent long links to Ichigo and important characters. (and mind you there was still multiple plots unresolved as @Owl Ki pointed out, the slew of unused bankais come to mind from a very surface level analysis where it was stated multiple guys have it that didn't use it, for example, and that's just the tip)
The same thing happens often in one piece and will happen more towards the final saga thats why i brought up the comparison

Can't believe I rated early JJK so highly. I should have knew it is shallow as #uck.
Or maybe, Gege did not try to expand the story, add more characters, curses like Mahito/Jogo, etc.
The final arc would have been fine if it followed a ladder type structure where Yuji had to fight several villains to climb up and face Sukuna while Gojo held him back. And the moment Yuji arrived at the scene, he would see Go/Jo on the floor.
Gege should have kept things simple.
