General & Others Unpopular Opinions?

Jinbe never should’ve been a warlord. If he was just another straw hat addition like Brook people wouldn’t care about how lame he is, but because he went from a warlord to fighting Franky level people, that’s where the problem came from.
It's more than the fact that he has to fight adversaries below his level, he just doesn't fit within the Straw Hats, he doesn't have the personality, nor the quirks, nor the dreams nor the dynamics with the Straw Hats.

That’s just his level. He has the quirks and dream, but the problem was he seemed like a bigger deal than he was because he was a warlord. As I said, if he was never a warlord, he’d be fine.

Personally I don't feel him as a Straw Hat, not in terms of personality and interactions with the crew, he felt better as his own crew's captain and ally/friend.

- I'm fine with fights being offpaneled.
- Big Mom and Pudding are the best characters in WCI and better than Katakuri by a long shot.
- Katakuri is a good character, but not that great.
- Post TS as a whole is on par with pre TS.
- Marineford is not even close to be the best arc.
- Skypeia is overall a poor arc.

No, he's entirely different.
Good old days of delusion, naivety and hope…

Oda, Nika, Act 3 of Wano, Egghead, my naive hopes that this story would get a decent conclusion.
For me the first fracture came with the second half of WCI arc after the Tea Party, the story became so unbearable that it made drop One Piece for several months though I came back for Wano and at the beggining it seemed like Oda would do better than he did for WCI, bM and her crew, then fissures appeared again with Oden and with the mini-Udon arc, but the third act of Wano is what really broke me.

For me the first fracture was the start of WCI because Sanji was being a a child and fighting with Luffy. I thought that was so dumb because it showed no growth since the start of the series. The middle section of WCI was better IMO but the ending was absolutely awful and I lost all hope. Oda turned Big Mama into Big Meme by having her run around and scream hunger pains and weeding cake. Then Oda wiped Sanji's memories to stop any character development and keep him as a pervert. I was shocked. That was my last straw. I still read into Wano but eventually I gave up.

Time to bite za dusto?

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm a One Piece fan, 33 years old. I live in the northeast section of the fandom, where the only sound is the mournful wail of "Oda, what are you doing?" echoing through the empty streets. I'm not married to any particular theory anymore; they've all been brutally murdered by plot twists. I work at maintaining a facade of normalcy, while internally screaming every time a new chapter drops. I'm home by 8 PM at the latest, after drowning my sorrows in a sea of memes about how the series has peaked.
I don't smoke, but I'm considering it. I'm in bed by 11 PM, hoping for at least eight hours of sleep, but often plagued by flashbacks of Sanji's Raid Suit transformations and endless exposition dumps disguised as "world-building." I try meditation and counting devil fruits, but the only thing on my mind is the sinking feeling that this once-great ship is taking on water.
I wake up feeling like I've been hit by a Conqueror's Haki blast. Will this chapter finally give us some payoff, or will it be another 20 pages of people standing around talking about the Void Century? I check for spoilers, hoping against hope for a glimmer of excitement, but usually finding only more reasons to question my life choices. The Egghead arc was a slog, full of technobabble and plot threads that tangled into an incomprehensible knot. The pacing was slower than a snail on sedatives, the plot was more convoluted than a Gordian knot. I just want a good story, is that too much to ask?
I desire a fulfilling experience, one that doesn't make me want to hurl myself into the Calm Belt. This used to bring me joy. But now, it's like a bad relationship I can't seem to quit. Oda, you magnificent troll, you master of the bait-and-switch, please throw us a bone. The epic battles, the shocking revelations, the heartwarming moments - we're desperate for them. Don't leave us adrift in this sea of mediocrity.
Deep down, I know I'll keep reading, like a rubber man stretching my patience to its limits. But for now, I'm a jaded fan, mourning the loss of the One Piece that once set my heart ablaze.

I think he meant top 5 at being clowned like Bobbins and Jack.

Even Lucci's comeback was more impressive
