No, you’re being disingenuous and pretending that a bunch of power hungry politicians (a measly 16 representatives in contrast to 200+ democratic representatives who disavowed it from the get go) who cosponsored a dead bill 5 years ago and literally all of them have backtracked ever since, are actually the bulk of the party and they somehow represent the overarching democratic policy pursuits.
Medicare for all as a bill was created by Bernie. It’s never been officially voted on and any president would veto it if it ever managed to get through the senate. If you don’t like democrats that’s fine, I don’t like them either, but stop misconstruing the facts just so you can push your narrative.

I'm quite new to sociology so not on the top of my mind. My reasonning is based on various studies and not specifically the work of a few researchers.
However...

I feel bad for them. I really do. They are not to blame for their abysmal school system and going out of one's way to seek out education themselves requires hard work (mentally and psychologically) nearly as much as healing a chronic mental illness.
This could majorly backfire. Germany has an underfunded police. The result: they have to accept basically anyone into the police force, including nazis and salafists (an issue well known for over 10 years now).
Among other problems.
During the euro cup this summer border controls had to be tightened and guess what, they caught a considerable number of criminals (drug trafficers etc). But due to the police being underfunded and understaffed, keeping up the controls is not feasible.
There are more examples.

This is just a small examples. They have always been right wing since their inception. From anti-immigration, creating the confederacy, being pro slavery, and funding the KKK. Even Joe Biden has a long history of pushing segregation laws.
