Lazy is the way
Laugh fought against lucci, seraphim (which he didn't even beat) Kizaru (which he didn't beat) and gorosei (which he didn't beat) in a mini arc
I don't see the issue
Yeah and Luffy vs Lucci wasn’t a long fight and not extreme diff at all

I agree that Akainu can be like Lucci : a short cool clash with Luffy (maybe without real winner this time) and then having a real 1 vs 1 against someone else

Or we split the 4 fights into 2

It would be best if you made peace with it that Akainu is narratively going to be relevant :josad:

I think you’re mistaken with what o said

I do think Akainu will be relevant

don’t you think Lucci was relevant and had a big role in Egghead ? I personally think he did

Akainu can totally be relevant and not being Luffy 1 vs 1 going extreme diff

If he clash’s with Luffy and then has a big fight with Sabo or someone else it’s quite big

and narratively Akainu will also lead the Marine etc

When do you think Luffy will have time to 1 vs 1 extreme diff Akainu ? In which arc ?
false problem mainly spammed by people that don't want this fight to happen because of their agenda
We just had a 60 chapters long arc that Oda managed to insert between Wano and Elbaf, when many people predicted we'd either have a very short arc or jump straight to Elbaf.
The truth is nobody can tell for sure how the final saga will unfold, we just have a vague idea that Imu should be the FV, but how we get there is another story

Lucci was a literal gag character in Egghead beside 1 moment with Kaku
Post automatically merged:

Vepapunks yepping made it feel longer

Yeah nobody knows what will happen

We just know that at some point Luffy will fight BB and will fight Imu

But there is no certainties at all that Luffy will have a full fight with Akainu

While it’s almost certain he will fight the 2 other

Akainu will have a big role, but having a big role isn’t equal to fighting Luffy and being a full length fight

We'll see
It's a matter of point of view
For me it's almost certain.
Because of Akainu being the only character to scar Luffy in the entire series, a throbbing scar at that. Then you add killing his brother and temporaly breaking his will. A bit too much for a secondary villain to Luffy's story.
It wasn't random that the end of fishman island, the two enemies Jinbe wanted Luffy to notice was Blackbeard rising to emperor and Akainu to fleet admiral.
In the bigger story of the OP world Akainu isn't an important/relevant as Imu or potentially Teach, but as far as personal opponents he has the most impact on Luffy.

And in the end this is Luffy's adventure.

As I said:

Ony of those was or will be an easy or a not-so-important fight?
You can add Zoro vs Mihawk too.

I like akainu lot

I just don’t see him being that level narratively speaking
On the contrary, I think that Oda made that clear when he had him kill the MC's brother, gave a gigantic scar (which in OP Is very symbolic) to said MC and made him FA, aka head of the entire Marine, the figurative opposite of pirates.
