people like that just repeat whatever popular opinion they hear without thinking for a second. It's kinda insane to me that people equates trying to save your captain's life betraying his dream. One guy proudly said "even ussop is braver" probably forgetting that in wano he wanted nami to not tell ulti that luffy will become the pirate king, what is this?

You see, the solution to your problem is kid not coming back because this guy just got no build up with a gorosei, and yes shanks got a billion time more chance than kid to fight one since his father is literally in the line up

shanks likely gonna die before that to blackbeard. how odd would it be during the final war for the dawn of the new world, amongst the biggest the likes luffy, zoro, sanji, law that the 5th man ends up being Shanks when one of one piece's biggest themes has been about the growth of the new generation, cmon man. i think you guys simply do not want him to have any type of w and relevancy. the final war will be luffy at the head of the new gen bringing about the dawn of the new world and kid will be there as of of the major contributors right behind luffy (just like in wano) you guys are gonna have to accept that one day, not someone who will most likely be out of the equation before that even happens

I don't believe in power creep so it is hard for me too see that.
Also, it is kinda impossible to make Kidd stronger than Shanks.
Complete stat overhaul would be required...

The mc's gen ends up being the strongest most of the time, people know that. they agree with that, but dont want kid to be part of that despite him arguably having one of the best potential in the series
