I predicted last week shanks will have new arm, given oda's history of how he revives dead characters (like saul) after sucking drama out of their deaths. Looks like we have shanks look alike with both arms intact.

Gotta say though, I still have no idea where Oda is going with this lol. One hand its cool he's addressing God Knight stuff in Elbaf, especially....Shanks/"Shanks" which also means potentially God Valley/Rocks, but how does this factor into Giants and Elbaf lore is throwing me off.

How were these 2 CDs summoned here? Wouldnt that imply they were always here or that another CD was here to summon them (i.e. like Saturn summoning the other Gorosei)

Im gonna guess if it was Pranks, then it must be Luffy or Shanks. It may have BB if it were actually Shanks, but now it just seems like theres some ulterior motive here to either confuse Luffy or go after Shanks here for whatever reason. To me since he's in Elbaf, it makes sense to have it about Luffy, no? no idea how this plays out in the end though.

The WG has long had a hold of Elbaf and has used them to gain stronger subordinates for decades.

it's really funny that people think film red makes shanks look good. he stops the demon the first time, sure, but he also steals everything that isn't nailed down afterwards leaving them poor, he leaves the demon summoning ritual there, and he abandons uta on the island with it even though he knows she can summon it again. and then she kills herself and he sails away

Yeah....this is what makes me reluctantly believe its not him and is in fact a twin. Its just too silly otherwise if he came back and Oda seemed to draw someone very similar to Shanks recently in 1083:

Which makes sense that this is not Garling since he was just promoted and looks nothing like this character in silhouette form.

And 1121 shows a new sillhouette that also looks similar to him using his left arm with a cutlass hilt, which is the arm Shanks lost....

Ill be sort of happy with this if Pranks is also the Burned Scar Man and Shiryu was right that he works for the WG. At least it addresses a bunch if its done right and its not yet another character we dont know about.

Lol it’s almost certain that the BSM is someone different. One of the main challenges with him will be reaching his ship, given that he was introduced as sailing on a jet black ship which is constantly surrounded by whirlpools. So it would make no sense to hype up how challenging it is to reach his ship, just for the SHs to face him on land in Elbaf
