Israeli support of the war is mainly due to October 7th. The Israelis who want to settle, the religious Zionists, are a minority.

They are still dangerous due to how radical they are and they very well could get their way.

But that’s not why you will see Israelis and diaspora Jews defending the war. They defend the war because they(rightfully) see Hamas as a threat to their people.

Anyways I’m anti war, I’m just explaining a perspective I understand very well because I’m part of a Jewish community and have heard this stuff spoken countless times over.

I think Israel ought to have defended itself after October 7th

but after the initial war when Israel had already surpassed the Oct 7th death toll, they should have sued for peace.

Perhaps religion shouldn’t be brought into this, but the Torah says a life for a life. 2000(oct7th plus all Israeli deaths afterward) to over 50k isn’t a life for a life.

An entire civilization of innocent people is getting massacred to kill a handful of terrorists, terrorists who attacked after being oppressed for almost a century.

If a terrorist group from Germany blows up a mall in another country, I don't think the attacked country ethnically cleansing every living being in Germany is the way to go yeah?
