but after the initial war when Israel had already surpassed the Oct 7th death toll, they should have sued for peace.

Perhaps religion shouldn’t be brought into this, but the Torah says a life for a life. 2000(oct7th plus all Israeli deaths afterward) to over 50k isn’t a life for a life.

I do in fact think Hamas should be defeated. I just don’t think the best way to do it is necessarily bombing Gaza until nobody is capable of fighting back.

The best way to defeat Hamas would be for the PA to do it and subsequently replace Hamas as Gaza’s ruling power. But they don’t have the capabilities for that. So I think Israel should sue for peace until the PA is strong enough to retake Gaza.

I'm abstaining from commenting on the Israel X Hamas situation until a third neutral party investigates the number of civilian deaths and war crimes. I feel most of what we got so far is propaganda(except, of course, for the bombings and displacement of civilians).
