It’s like I’ve been saying.

Shin will never reach Houken weight ever again, until maybe like EOS. Any commander with Weight is killing Shin long before that point, Houken was a complete anomaly
:doffytroll:
That should really be the point. Shin isn't the anomaly here, Houken is.

Houken is about the only character in the entire manga that consciously rejected emotional attachment thus denying himself Weight.

Shukai Plains Houken was having a mental crisis, his faith in himself, his entire ideology and his entire life's pursuit being questioned by self doubt.

As Shin grew stronger on the battlefield, Houken grew weaker cause his faith in himself was being eroded due to consistent losses throughout the years, undermining his whole "strongest under the heaven's" deal.

I think I said it elsewhere on here but Shukai Plains Houken was Houken at his weakest in the story. Even at his weakest he still bodied Kyoukai and killed Shin.

If Houken wasn't self doubting, he could have won cleanly extreme diff. Since he was, the result was a mutual kill.

Shin beats JK by pretending to be dead for 20 seconds which sends JK into a 20 month hibernation period. :ClownStare:
Yes Jyoukaryuu’s weakness is guys who will themselves through mortal injury through sheer rage. So maybe Shin could beat Karyuu by getting his head chopped off and willing Jyoukaryuu into a false sense of security
