Questions & Mysteries Zoro vs Shamrock, A Twist?

#1
Before the drop of this chapter, there was a lot of discussion on Zoro vs Shamrock or Luffy vs Shamrock. Being supposedly the boss of the arc many speculated that it would be Luffy who will fight Shamrock instead of Zoro. Then the spoilers/hints dropped and the Cerberus thing made headlines with who it might belong to (Loki or Shamrock) and how it might effect the matchups. Then we get the detailed spoilers and we learn that Cerberus is an awakened mythical zoan fed to Shamrocks sword. At this point it makes a lot more sense for Zoro to fight Shamrock instead of Luffy. Reasons:
Swordsman (Luffy has barely if ever fought against swordsmen opponents)
Shanks Twin (Surpassing Shanks before being able to challenge Mihawk)
Cerberus (Guardian of Hell vs King of Hell)
3 sword style vs 3 sword heads
Samurai vs Knight

At this point it seems like Sham is a tailored opponent for Zoro and not Luffy. There is a problem though and I already said this in the spoiler thread. It increases Zoros confirmed fights. Shiryu (due to BB), Venus (due to Kitetsu) and Mihawk (final fight) are 99% confirmed fights for Zoro. But if we add Shamrock to the list too then it is already difficult to fit the previous three fights into expected arcs. We jump from 3 arcs for each opponent to 4 arcs and the pace of the story doesnt suggest we will have 3 arcs let alone 4, we are already in the final saga.

There have been arcs where Zoro has defeated multiple opponents in the same arc but when you take into account the importance of the chars in question it seems very hard that they will be sacrificed like that. I mean the least impressive from the 4 is Shiryu atm but due to BB association you can bet how important he will be. Off the top of my head we have had Zoro defeat Braham and Ohm I think in Skypiea, then Ryuma and Oars fight and then Kuma (not exactly the type of fights) in TB. In Wano he had quite a few but none of the earlier defeated chars were as important to the story or narrative as the 4 guys are.

So here comes the twist, Zoro will not fight Shamrock. Rather the BBPs will somehow invade MG and beat the HK or they will come at the end of some battle where Shiryu will be able to feed the Cerberus DF to his sword and Zoro will fight Shiryu with two DFs like many have suggested before. This will parallel quite a few things. Firstly Shiryu and BB being the two guys with multiple DFs (BB might actually get three). Shiryu will also get two DFs which are associated with BB previously (Invis was suggested for BB before while the 3 heads of Cerberus for BB being able to have multiple DFs etc.). It will also fit perfectly with his head jailer theme by having the guardian of hell as his DF. An invisible swordsman who can not be touched due to becoming nothing with an awakened mythic zoan sword which can attack from three sides simultaneously and which may also be hidden.

Whether Zoro will fight Shamrock or not, who knows but I am certainly up for it. I am not concerned with not enough arcs for all these fights, Oda will extend the story as much as needed or will make Shiryu and Mihawk fall in the same arc.

Other than that, let Shiryu cook.
Why downgrade to 3-headed sword when he can feed a stronger fruit with 8 heads... Or simply make Shiryu obtain 2 mythical Zoans alongside Suke no Mi, simply take Shamrock's sword and go Nittoryu. :myman:

Did Zoro beat that dog or was it Chopper? That priest had a funny sword too and he was the strongest of the commanders of Enel. I always thought Venus was his parallel (baldies with glasses thing, lol).
Zoro defeated the dog (Holy I think his name was) by ordering it to knock itself out.

Turned out that the dog just obeyed anyone and not just Ohm.

Yeah so Shiryu will become Musashi on steroids? Come to think of it Zoro has not fought a Nitoryu user so far.
What are the chances that this fight will resemble Zoro vs SHam and Buch where Zoro 2v1s his opponents. Come to think of it Zoro probably has had the most 2v1s clashes/fights in the series. Sham and Buch, Kaku and Jabra (Usopp doesnt count), Killer and Onimaru etc. (there are probably more but I dont remember at the moment).

If no one higher than sham appears (authority wise) then luffy vs sham.

If someone higher appears then zoro vs sham.

Tbh, whole shammy thing feels like oda created this whole twin thing to draw luffy vs shanks (copy) without affecting his real self insert
Yeah but Luffy doesnt fight swordsmen

luffy didnt fough shawk because mihawk is 100% reserved for zoro so in return zoro likely wont fight sham because anything shanks related is for luffy. Oda making sham a santoryu user is ironicaly a way to make luffy face someone who use 3 sword like zoro. Seem oda himself is a fan of luffy vs zoro. Zoro this arc might face someone who has ability like luffy (new holy knife)..

I think Shamrock is way too much for Zoro at the moment.

Lucci, a masked CP-0, held Zoro for quite some time. Now, everybody that has seen my previous posts know that I hold both Lucci and Zoro in very high regard but this Shamrock dude is the commander of Gods Knights that made even Dragon tense.

He seems to be sure he would have beat Loki in a fair 1 vs 1 without too much trouble, a Loki that is worth 2.6. In other words Shamrock is likely 3.3-4.3B worth in strength and beyond Zoro at this point.
