The Edd War regardless of the numbers should’ve been trivial for Roger, Whitebeard Pirates vs Roger Pirates should be low diff, Garp and random marines cornering Roger and his crew should be impossible (though we’re probably gonna find out Bogard is a top tier too randomly), BM shouldn’t even be someone that Roger’s worried about, etc

And that’s just off Rayleigh being a top tier in relatively close proximity to Roger. You throw in Gaban and it makes even less sense lol

Remember, Roger’s a “glory hog” of sorts. He charged in on Oden cause he finds fighting fun. He’d never want help from his crew mates in a one v one like that because he enjoys fighting too much.

For the Edd war: naval battles are just built different. Jack sank multiple ships of a fleet ran by Tsuru, Fujitora, and Sengoku and lived to not only tell the tale but fight more.

For Roger Pirates vs WB Pirates: Those were never serious and we saw Gaban after those three days dude was uninjured. Those were mostly just for Roger and Whitebeard to catch up cause they were fun

Garp and Roger: Same as Edd War, Naval Battles are just unpredictable because you’re mostly fighting too much protect a ship, and less to defeat opponents.

Yeah but even if Roger’s 100, Rayleigh’s 95, and Gaban’s 90 that makes all 3 of them top tiers

A crew with 3 top tiers (4 with Oden onboard but he was a temporary member) should trivialize all conflict in the One Piece world

I believe knowing true history changed Roger and made him realize he wasn't the one. He realized he wasn't destined to be "him" based on prophecy and history.


Roger decided to bank on that prophecy and ushered new era to play his role for certain someone to come in future.


Heck, Roger never really found one piece.
