To a far lesser extent though because Luffy will always fight opponents of a much higher class than Zoro and Sanji. So it will be hard for people years down the line to take this as seriously. Z and S major opponents against a common group, will always be grouped together. It's the combo of that along with this statement which can carry Sanjibros till the end of time.

Oden had Advanced Conqueror / Conqueror , So did Yamato.

And his strongest attack did nothing to luffy

They will just be able to say he can through his own means cause that is "Oda's intention". As long as he doesn't actually fail directly (like in this case he didn't even meet Kaidou so he'd be in the clear for them to say whatever they want).
