You think there was ever a real chance of somebody getting him in a courtroom and making him answer for his company’s numerous and heinous crimes against sick people? They implemented an AI that denied 90 percent of claims submitted to them; as someone who has done a lot of medical billing, I cannot express the full extent of villainy and moral bankruptcy required to do something so patently cruel, a trial and sentencing wouldn’t have been nearly enough of a punishment. That’s the kind of shit God asks you about on Judgment Day, and I don’t think there’s any possible answer to justify any of it. Not saying that killing someone is ever acceptable, but when you’re indirectly responsible for that much death and suffering, it’s a real “Fuck around and find out” scenario in my eyes…
