Because they are side by side at the entrance gate.

If they were fighting I think Oda would have given us an hint : like Peros with a bloody face on the floor under Marco's talons

It doesn't seem too that Marco is chasing after Peros.

Seriously this Marco and Perospero panel with them entering the harbor together rather buzz me. While Perospero may hate the Beast Pirates and dislike the alliance with them I do not see why he would be fonder of Marco and the Straw Hats and their allies.

I mean if they didn't team up, why would the fodder tell Queen that Marco and Pero arrived together ? Why would he group them together ? It's weird. Perospero was at a disadvantage, he stood no chance against Marco on the sea (not that he would stand a chance in different circumstances anyway) so maybe becoming Marco's thing was his only way out.

Our boy was great again. BM showed some respect.

An other stone to say that Marco is really something else, and once again highlight personally.
