Character Discussion Respect Doflamingo

It's simple Kaido was hype up via Doffy portrayal.
The man who isn't afraid to throw hands with Admirals and almost unhinged in any situation, and was only shook when Kaido's name is used to threatened him.......all story telling and buildup for audience to know we are just dealing with a lackey/subordinate of the actual big boss that we'll be facing in future.
Yes he wasn't afraid of anyone but Kaido, that's canon fact.

This is why it's important to pay attention to context. Law actually offered that Doflamingo could get Ceasar back and maintain his deal with Kaido if he gave up his warlord title.

As Law points out, he would have the attention of the navy admirals on him, they would chase him down. And Doffy doesn't like that either.

But we know from Doffy's interactions with Kuzan and Fujitora, he doesn't fear the admirals personally. He nearly kicked Fujitora and initially tried to kill Smoker in front of Kuzan. Put 2 and 2 together. It's not that he's worried about himself, he simply knows any top tier can kill plenty of his crewmates, who he considers like his "family"

I've been saying for years that if/when Doflamingo gets out he will become a 2.0-2.5B pirate. Between his strength (that will be retconned), his rivalry with Crocodile (1.965) and his knowledge (Underworld, CD, Yonko dealings, Imu) he is bound to be just shy of an Admiral (3B).

I would bet the house on Cross Guild winning if it came to these match ups

Fujitora vs Mihawk
Green Bull vs Doflamingo & Crocodile

In fact, I really hope it happens now. Would solidify Mihawks status as >Admirals and it would further elaborate on Doflamingo & Crocodile as a duo not unlike Kidd & Law. I would love to see Doflamingo & Crocodile vs Kidd & Law too even if it is mostly off paneled.
Yep

Lol that's reaching, did you come up with an idea or is it explicitly shown or hinted in the manga to make an assumption.
Let's not try to twist this away from the main point, that Oda think his audience are an intellectual that will believe Doffy was only afraid that his family will be destroyed by Kaido......Not because it's a form to hype future main villain of the current ongoing storyline??

It may indeed be due to Kaido's violent nature or whatever reason.
Yes it's explicitly shown Doffy was visibly afraid to "anger" Kaido above anyone and would always chose path B.
Trying to make it look like Doffy didn't really care and would show the same behaviour if he's with Kaido "face to face" 1v1 is simply not what it's going to look like.
I won't continue further for this arguments.

Sad to see that 90% of Pro-mingo posts have devolved to reaction scaling, misinterpreting quotes, and rabid false equivalences instead of using what Mingo has shown. I suppose the 3 aforementioned things is what's needed when the feats and portrayal isn't up to par.

.
Self explanatory, If Doffy isn't afraid of a global flood while being in an underwater prison or the idea of assassin's hunting him down while he literally cannot resist, he is objectively not afraid of death.

You don't have to be an intellectual to think that captains have to pay attention to their crews safety as well. What was Oda's intention when he draws Roger sweating at random Marines?

When Kaido doesn't want Big Mom to bring her crew to Wano?

Yes it's explicitly shown Doffy was visibly afraid to "anger" Kaido above anyone and would always chose path B.
What are you talking about? He didn't like both options and never agreed to give up his warlord title actually(he used his connections to get around that)

I won't continue further for this arguments.
I also wouldn't try arguing the guy who was laughing at the idea of a global floods while being in an underwater prison is afraid of dying, so fair enough

Doffy isn't confirmed to have ever fought Tsuru though, if anything, he says he's no match for her.
Dude wtf are you talking about? They were clearly playing cat and mouse for over a decade.

Just because Oda doesn't draw DD action sequences in Law's flashback, it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Like read between the lines. He never really drew Doffy in actual intense combat ever in his pirate years.

Who was the cat and who was the mouse
