You're missing my point. What both characters did was dumb, but Teach almost died doing so. He needed to make a new ally(Shiryu) to get out of the situation. Xebec got out of his dumb situation consequence free because Imu did nothing, and the Gorosei and HK also just weren't in the scene at all, which doesn't really make sense. That's worse plot armor then even Luffy probably has.

Teach got saved by pure chance. If magellan attacked him again not even shiryu could have saved him. That plan was stupid and it was to get 6 bums out of Impel down too. Didnt even had a plan just entered ther.
Rocks attack isnt stupid because he just learned about Imu and still challenged him. Imu didnt wanted to show himself to everyone and Rocks barely ran. Makes more sense than Teach getting no diffed and getting almost dying after no plan.

That's the ONE thing Demon Slayer does and why it has my attention, there are stakes in the fights and the villains are given proper respect and sometimes even plot armour like the heroes. This is the one exceptional thing it does. Everything else is literally a chatgpt anime list of boxes to check.
