The very fact that you are calling WB the Zoro in this situation is a slap in the face of WB.
Man what a fall from grace, I would never be able to predict this is where we would be at in 2025, celebrating WB in his prime years being a good loyal underling and sharing panels with the real big dawg Xebec. Genuinely Zoro/Sanji fan behaviour.

How low was your opinion of WB to think this is hype. Like I get it, given the cards he was dealt this is great, things could have been worse? But I'm saying from before Xebec existed or God Valley existed to now, WB's rep took a net loss no matter how you look at it. This is not in anyway a net gain before these events were revealed.

Man, Whitebeard took the biggest hit in this flashback. Even when it was teased back then through Sengoku, that Whitebeard was an underling, it took a toll on his reputation, but this fleshed out commander arc really killed it.
I had hoped Xebec was a savage character, far more evil leaning than good guy. That way WB could fuck off do his own thing and Xebec falls because the crew implodes. I thought for sure WB wouldn't have fought on his side, that could save the commander like vibe.
Turns out Xebec is a bigger hero than Luffy. grey matter said it himself, WB is like Zoro to Xebec's Luffy. If this isn't a downfall I don't know what is.

Arm or no arm, it doesnt change his power level. Oda never had the intention of nerfing him.
And there is even a statement somewhere that his power didnt reduce due to arm loss.
It is just cosmetics, it will even make him stronger than before if Oda wishes so.
