Xebec will probably reveal his real reason of coming to GV to Whitebeard before his death, that's probably what inspired Whitebeard to find a family, because family is the ultimate treasure even to the most ambitious pirates like Xebec.
Whitebeard already had his dream before meeting Xebec. We can see it in his last moments' flashback (chapter #576).

Horrible analogy, ace was nowhere near as influential as Roger he did have high connections but just no that analogy is so terrible. We will mostly get a great pirate era esq influence by Luffy when he goes and claims the one peice
I meant whitebeard death not Ace.
Post automatically merged:

Anyone with an iq above 90 would have just got Roger's crew to help him wipe Kaido's ass off the map
Oden was himself capable of doing that. Why ask for help? Oden didn't loose because he was weak.

There were people taken hostage which he didn't wanted to sacrifice.

I think Harald and Rocks died the exact same way: getting Domi Reversi'd by a God's Knight killing their Wife.

In Rocks' case, I think Harald put him down.

In Harald's case, Loki stabbed Harald while Jarul held Harald's arms back, and the sword went through Jarul's head, causing memory loss.

Garling is the obvious choice, but, Gunko interests me, here.

Gunko killing Teach's Mom Eris, and Loki/Hajrudin's Mom, Ida, leading to Rocks and Harald's death, would give Teach, Loki, and Hajrudin REALLY legit reasons to want to kill Gunko, which Brook will obviously want to stop.

Since Garling is the Champion of God Valley, I still think he kills Eris.

But, I could really see Gunko/Shamrock being the ones to kill Ida.

This would give Loki further reason to despise them, if Shamrock and Gunko snuck into the country 14 years ago, and killed Ida to Domi Reversi Harald, through Imu possessing Gunko.

Shamrock would have been 25 at the time, and this would explain why Shamrock visits Harald's grave: Shamrock met Harald at the Reverie, with Shanks, and liked him, but, was ordered to kill Harald.
Plausible but the only problem here is I don't Imu should be able to posses the strongest characters with the strongest kings haki like Harald and Xebec. It would honestly break the story.

I think it's more likely people close to Harald got possessed. Even for xebec case Eris can easily be used against him or he could get straight up get ganged up on by Imu, Sartun and other God Knights

Ofc it's going to be more tragic, I care about him!

I believe Eris is also going to die, so the reversi thing seems realistic...and there's also a chance that Rocks might be able to overcome it, but when it's going to be too late.

As for Oden, I don't even remember his death, mostly because my brain is a crusade to make me forget that character.

I am more saddened by Ginny's death, and she's a flashback side character.

I think more than anything xebecs death will be extremely sad especially in the hindsight when we will look back from future and see that his 2 devil fruits to counter imu plan was absolutely the way to take imu down.
It feels like Xebec was correct. That fate itself is paving his road towards death.

If only things were a bit different he could have succeeded.

I believe it's will based. Harald and Rocks with their CoC Haki up aren't getting taken over. That's why I think their wives dying is important.

I think we can also see this in past lore with vander decken who is said to have gone insane and murdered his entire crew before being cursed by the devil to sell the seas with the flying dutchman, forever. This sounds way too similar to what we're seeing in Elbaph. I think the original vander decken was also domi reversid.

So it's less about how strong you are and more about how strong your will is. Imu is portrayed as a demon king that likes to break the wills of his enemies. This is also interesting, because suddenly all of the dead mothers in one piece aren't just a random plot point. And it's literally that the world government tries to murder people's parents and children in general to keep them from becoming powerful in threats to the world government.

I believe that all of the marines on god valley were scheduled to get murdered after the incident to begin with, and the dragon was sent there to be killed. But Garp and everything else occurring in God valley, going to hell made it so that the world government couldn't fully cover up the incident the way they wanted to. So instead, they had to blackmail Garp using Goa Kingdom in order to get him to continue to serve them and not talk about the incident. While people assume that garp just doesn't want to talk about it, I think he has legitimate gag order from the world government. They do not want him talking about god valley.

Yeah, but I still think Xebec's actions will solidify that to be his ultimate goal, Whitebeard during the Rocks Pirates Age seems to be kinda confused about what his endgame goal is.
Nah, I don't think that Xebec had any lasting influence on WB. He was already saving his share of Rocks' treasures to help his homeland (Sphinx), so he was probably loyal to Xebec due to their high profits (and ofc, it's likely that he also lost a Davy Back Fight and he isn't a double-crosser like Ochoku).

Very possible, but I still kinda think WB could've amassed riches on his own and made a family without joining the Rocks Pirates.
