Garling role is yet to be defined but not finishing him was Xebec great mistake since in a few chapters he'll be back and regenerated.

And he WILL cause some trouble.

Since Garp was given the title Hero of the Marines after this event, maybe Garling was given GV champion fo helping defeat/kill Rocks.

One thing Ive thought about is the fact that Roger and Garp might not kill Rocks, but Garling comes around and deals the finishing blow in the end and thats how he earns his Champion title.

Oda has directly shown us that raw physical power and Haki is not enough to defeat Imu's powers in this chapter. Do you remember Imu's face after Joy Boy's Rope Haki blast?

Why does Imu actually fear the Buccaneers, like Kuma? If Domi Reversi IS rage based, or bassd on negative emotions, this all makes sense.

Imu hates the Buccaneers because they are so kind and free of hatred, even when they are in a rage, that they can resist him.

Why destroy the Buccaneer people? They can negate/ignore Domi Reversi. So, I think Xebec WILL resist, until Eris dies. If Kuma is still on this island trying to save people like I think he is, i think we'll see a scene where he resists Domi Reversi, because he is such an inherently kind person. Imu wants to control the entire world. Kuma was made into a cyborg, because Imu despised he could not control the Buccaneers with his magic, and wanted to do so with technology. Kuma CONTINUING to break programming is ultimate proof that Dreams/Love cannot be destroyed by Imu's designs.

Luffy has shown such low levels of hatred in this series, that he rescued Croc from Impel Down, and befriended an Arlong Pirate in Hachi. It makes total sense that Imu, who wins through subjugation, is terrified of Joy Boy: their freedom/joy means Imu cannot control them at all.

Since Love seems to be the connector here, I think Sanji will be Domi'd, but overcome it through his Love for the Straw Hats.

This also explains why Judge wanted his children to have no emotions: eliminate emotions, and no risk of Domi Reversi. Wouldn't be surprised if the history of Germa 66 involved some Domi Reversi destroying the Kingdom. Sanji will fully surpass Judge and Imu, through Sora's love overcoming both Judge's twisted Science, and Imu's twisted magic.

It's very possible that Gunko is the first woman Sanji chooses to fight in this series.

Yeah, the last few arcs have made it really clear to me that Big News Morgans is waaaaaay more influential and powerful than we thought. Morgans more or less actually controls the flow of this information. I thought he was being a bit of a pompous stooge, when he was ranting to Vivi, but like no, Morgans information network is that powerful. The world government has allowed it to exist for a long time and tolerated a lot of Morgans' nonsense, but I think the gear five stuff is going to be the actual breaking point for them.

People only get information from the world economic journal, and sailors generally. How many people actually have Den Den Mushi powerful enough to routinely contact other islands miles away from them?

At least half, and possibly even more of that, of the known civilized world in one piece, most likely get their information about pirates in the world from the WEJ.

Like, why would some random person from the east blue know who the hell rocks is? They are literally more terrified of people like Don Krieg, because those are the pirates that are actually trying to rob them.

Even Roger feels like more of a legend people will bring up randomly at the bar in this era, rather than a certified public figure.
