There is no narrative, statement, or anything that contradicts the fact that Shanks, Mihawk, and Akainu are weaker than Whitebeard. The only character who contradicts the fact that Whitebeard is stronger than him is KAIDO.

Technicaly Kaido titles does not contradict Whitbeards because he was next in line as world strongest pirate and his world strongest creature title was revealed at Punk Hazard which is 2 years after WB dead ( exact timeline of Kaido gaining WSC title is unknown just like every other title so far ). No contradiction here.

Hahaha what dumb cope is this ? For the sake of argument considering their peaks never coexisting you could say that Oda intended Kaido to be superior to WB.

Kaido is peaking at same time Mihawk and he is one called WSC and in 1 vs 1 always bet on Kaido .

Mihawk having black blade has nothing to do with Kaido and in no way shows any superiority over Kaido .

You don't even know how black blades are made and manga never even hints that having superior blade means being stronger than everyone else .

What you fundamentally don't understand is that storytelling doesnt go from the strongest WS title holder towards the weakest but in the opposite direction. In the age of countless equals, Oda selected Whitebeard to have the title of World's Strongest and gave him pre-TS as his part of the story.

Then he picked a slightly younger guy from that same generation and revealed that he surpassed them all and gave him post-TS as his part of the story. He also revealed a man stronger than Whitebeard(Oden) but never did anything regarding WS title with him because his prime lasted short because he was killed and his story spotlight lasted one flashback in Kaido's era.

And lastly, the strongest of them all that is reserved for the final saga and the only WS title holder in the part of the story that actually matters and isnt an extension due to popularity, the guy who was in the original plan from the get go, the guy who forged the strongest weapon in all of history, ridiculous feat considering all the big names in OP's history, the guy who sits atop the throne of supreme might and awaits a guy from the main cast, a trigger who represents Power.

Nobody will be stronger than the Power of the Final Saga, certainly not the Power representatives from pre-TS and post-TS.
You have to work backwards to figure this stuff out instead of holding onto information that has long been overwritten by newer information.

I get it from King telling Kaido to remain the strongest.
I get it from Oden saying that if he cannot beat him nobody else will be able to either.

So yes, Kaido was WSC during the battle against Oden and even 8 years before that.
During battle with Oden, Kaido is 39 years old which is around the beginning of prime for many characters, such as Shanks.

Kaido is not a human and thus disqualified from WSM and thus a superior title is attached to him.
It's not about male and female but species, Kaido's creature should be enough hint that it isnt about genders.

He did reveal Oden as stronger when he said that Oden's Nittoryu is the greatest there is, that nobody else will be able to beat Kaido and when he said that Kaido's expectations were surpassed while thinking of Oden to be as mighty as Roger and Whitebeard and finally, when he decided to decorate only Oden among Kaido's top 5 with the best feat in the world, a scar on Kaido.

Fact is that he still carried his title despite not deserving it anymore so you have to figure out why...
No, because Kaido and Mihawk arent in the spotlight in pre-TS, that's what you dont get. Hype doesnt work that way.

The fact that Oda doesnt place anyone flat out above WB in pre-TS shows you that he wants to hype him up at that point in story.
However, then comes post-TS, a part of the story where Whitebeard is irrelevant and someone else needs the same treatment and gets even superior title. That's the era when narrator himself says that a mother is even stronger than Kaido, picking him as the highest praise for a fan's mother.

In the present, Whitebeard was weaker than all of them, Mihawk, Kaido, Dragon and Shanks.
However, it was focus on Whitebeard and others are irrelevant at that point so WSM is given to him despite not being WSM then.

Actually it matters a lot because it is factual scaling of Kaido.
Narrator himself places Kaido at the top.

So, there is a distinction between what being "stronger" actually means.

Because the fanbase usually equate it to "Winning in a 1v1"

But this is a presumption. And Oda shows this.

Even if WB is stronger than Shanks and Mihawk, he can still lose to them. And if being able to lose to them means he's not stronger than them in terms of how the fanbase look at it, then there is simply the possibility he is weaker than them.

This all stems from Oda stating in an SBS, that WB, Mihawk and Shanks would bear their weighty ideals against each-other in a fight.

If Oda meant WB's title to be a confirmation that WB would beat any other man or pirate, he would not bother having Mihawk or Shanks pit their ideals against WB. He should know it's obvious WB would win, and just pick another Yonko or admiral or something, if his title means he definitely beats Mihawk for example.

But this simply isn't the case, being the WSM doesn't mean automatically mean you win against everyone. In very simple terms you can be weaker, but possess qualities that still allow you to pull a victory against a stronger opponent.

Zoro and Luffy shouldn't be beating Mihawk and Kaido respectively otherwise.

And in Kaidos case, being the strongest creature doesn't mean a swordsman couldn't slay him. Even if Kaido's stats were overall stronger than Mihawk.

And this even goes to the point of what Kaido said about haki being above all, having more than one meaning, because Scopper is angry at Zoro for not consciously making full use of his haki, so haki utilisation is just as important as base haki strength.

There is a databook that actually calls Mihawk the WSM, following Marineford, and Kaido is already in the narrative at this time, because we know he tried to come to Marineford.

Anyway no one with a working head on their shoulders expects Kaido to be able to withstand the full might of Yoru wielded by Mihawk, if rooftop Zoro could even halt him with asura, and if BM was worried enough to tell Kaido to dodge dragon blaze.

Mihawk would out-skill and get the better of him in combat, because he has unrivalled mastery as a combatant. Big Mom was able to combat Kaido for days and neither got the better of the other, and somehow people think Mihawk's combat ability isn't far superior to Big moms, he will shave bits and pieces off Kaido if he has to until Kaido can't fight back.

Even if Kaido was stronger than Mihawk stats wise it wouldn't matter, serious slashes from Yoru would put him into systematic shock. And lets not act like it's not the Wielder + the cursed sword with a will of it's own, said cursed sword having more potential at higher grades, let alone the strongest black blade in the verse.
