That's a serious narrative problem, but not on that front.

Rocks and Roger somehow did the same thing: they give birth/inspired the next gen, which is Luffy for Roger and BV for Rocks; they are the one who are going to do it.

The problem with Rocks is that is plotline about his fight against Imu/teh WG ended so abruptly, without a real conclusion. he didn't issue a final challenge against Imu, he didn't manage to even wound him in the end.
Yes, he was stopped and ended like that only because he wanted to save his family, but I wanted a more respectful ending.

Unfortunately he never got the fruit he wanted and was unprepared, he knew there's a good chance that he'll die if he goes to GV, but still chose family over his King Of The World goal.

Lmfao this agenda piece is getting annoying. Whitebeard and Roger clearly got stronger after GV.

People are amnesia victims.

They've forgotten that for 1100+ chapters, WB and Roger were consistently portrayed and cemented as #1 and 2 in the modern day pirating era.

Even Garp himself claimed Whitebeard as his #1 once Roger died, calling him the king of the seas lmfao. Sengoku constantly wanking WB as the strongest whilst standing right beside Garp.

Even just look at their old man performances — WB is beyond clear of every other old gen in terms of feats, whilst being in by far the absolute worst condition amongst them all.

People are letting a few GV chapters from before Whitebeard was even Whitebeard override literally thousands of chapters of concrete portrayal. The difference between Garp, WB and Roger here is that this is the peak of Garp's career hence why he's going off, whereas Roger and WB go on to do much greater things from this point. And still, Oda gives them their flowers.

Oda himself could come to this forum personally and say "Yes Teach is intended to be the true final villain" and people would still think he's lying and say he was just drunk when he said it
