First Vergo then Doflamingo and now King


I get it Oda wants to keep the cool narrative he built where "Sanji come in clutch and save the day" since the start of the series but let's be honest before TS Sanji would come in and save someone and would look badass or have the upperhand doing it (for example he got blasted by Enel and still looked cool) ... But then after TS , it's just so lame like his 4 attempts from memory :

- Stops Vergo and gets his leg hurt and look bad and essentially used as a hype tool for the Law vs Vergo Fight

- Stops Doflamingo from attacking the ship and get his ass beat down and used as a hype tool for the Luffy vs Doffy Fight

- Comes in to help Luffy escape WCI , has no plan and get shot by bullets and saved by his brother Niji

- And now once again comes in to save Momonosuke and will probably get his ass beat down by King to setup whatever fight King gets (Zoro/Kidd...)



it's just sad at this point and I hope i'm wrong and there's more to it where Sanji get back up and hit King back but this is the most likely outcome looking at the pattern oda setup

Ok 1. Theres no plan he could have made to get luffy out of that situation, 2. An entire fleet was shooting at Sanji and Sanji got hit once, and even then he didnt even know he was shot until chopper told him in the next chapter. 3. Sanji couldnt have gotten out of that yonko fleet situation by himself, If your really a fan of sanji you should know Holding Luffy is a literal nerf to sanji fighting style. He uses both hands to take out large groups.

Lastly it was Yonko fleet and Oven was one of the guys in the fleet. Oven alone is enough to make it a difficult fight for Sanji. 1 person shouldnt have been able to escape from a yonko fleet. The Germa being there was absolutely necessary......

The context of Sanji vs King is different from the fights you mentioned, Doffy and Vergo were the main villains/antagonist. King in the context of this arc is an underling of a Yonko he's not the main arc villain/antagonist.Sanji getting overpowered makes sense, based on luffys portrayal against katakuri. King would get the better of most people in that situation. Sanji is fighting someone much stronger than him, a struggle should be expected honestly. The good thing about this arc is that it requires Sanji to fight unlike those arcs you mentioned. So there may be more to sanji vs king. We'll know next chapter. Its honestly a feat that Sanjis able to clash with the guy and save momo honestly. Considering Katakuri whooped luffys ass nonstop.

Well that moment was about momo getting saved and sanji was the only one that could do that at that situation , about hype tool will see next chapter although I have the feeling sanji, zoro, kidd and killer will serve that purpose all together to hype king , sanji cannot be badly injured cuz of story purposes But also we don’t need someone stopping king and save sanji from bad injury that will be disaster for sanji so better he tanks It and take some minor injury , nevertheless we should wait next chapter until we start assuming things out of thin air xx

Still don't see where you get "begging" from. You've got a very loose definition of that word. And he did hold his ground. He didn't back down or waver, and accomplished his goal of freeing Momonosuke on top of stopping King not once but twice.
