In any case, looks like Oda isn't trying to make Yamato Momo's employee, and is instead just making her learn about the world while he sets up a return worth looking forward to

Well, it is obvious Yamato will re-appear in the story somehow, but when and how exactly - we don't know. Same for Pudding, her being kidnapped by BBP makes her relevant to the plot again.

Because she’ll reappear when Pluton gets unleashed by BBP or CG. Afterwards old Wano will be unleashed and they’ll have all new territories to daimyo.

Hmmm I wonder which “important” characters got their good/bad future sketches added in SBS this time… let’s see… first we have Straw Hat crew, Luffy’s brothers, and… gasp… OH. MY. GOD. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT. NEFERTARI VIVI?! NO WAY?! HOW COULD SHE BE?! There’s no way anyone could see that coming. Like, what are the chances?! I mean… why her, of all people, instead of some stronger, more popular and recent nakama candidates?! WHAT DOES ODA EVEN MEAN BY THIS?! He seems like he’s hinting at something, but I really, REALLY can't put my finger on it…

Correct. Otherwise he definitely would have listed her as having some kind of function in Wano’s day to day business. Someone who is as meticulous as Oda, who for example painstakingly listed each of Big Mom’s children and what exact responsibilities each of them had in Totto Land, wouldn’t simply forget or not explain what exactly Yamato’s role is, especially when is listing all the other related characters responsibilities in that moment. He could have easily said she is “Momonosuke’s instructor” or “Momonosuke’s teacher” or like a general in Wano’s army that leads its fighting force. He specifically mentioned “she’s still learning about the world”, which is still in line with her mentioning she wants to travel out to sea, how she still wants to be part of Luffy’s crew.

She ain’t joining bro

There is never going to be an addition to the grand fleet.
Why not? As long as the Grand Fleet total members sticks with some version of the Gomu pun then it could be possible. Currently about 5600 members. Ideo Pirates only have 4 members and New Giant Warrior Pirates only have 5 members. It could go up to 5656 members easily.

Maybe 8056 members as foreshadowing to Usopp's 8000 members lie declaration.

Or if Oda is bold with a plan 56560 members. Gomu Gomu no Grand Fleet!

Pedro's and boiled Yamato's individual atoms might from a crew each. Billions of crewmembers, wouldn't that be amazing? Then they join the fleet. Think about it. It's not outside the realm of possibility.
Hahaha. You jest yet the candidates talked about now do not fit easily with the crew makeup and dynamics be it a combination narratively, size, strength, crew position, overall usefulness, foreshadowing, age, minimal redundancy, crew interactions, potential, etc.

Pedro fits the best. Dead or Alive

I can only assume as part of the Straw Hats, since again, Oda is making Yamato a daimyo, Momo's official guard, or anything like that. So I'd say Momo will power up soon enough to prove to Yamato once and for all she can sail off after proving himself to her.

I'm def excited. We'll likely get more follow-up once we get follow-up with Caribou and Kozuki Moria.

Wanted to relish in the moment once again that Oda had every opportunity to claim that Yamato is officially Momo’s employee and could have made her a manager of some place in Wano, but chucked that away in favor of “just learning about the world”. He doesn’t even bring up how her Devil Fruit “forced” some guard role on her either.

Oh, and he also didn’t claim that Yamato is “working towards being Straw Hat Fleet representative” either. Because that crap just wouldn’t track!
