In any case, looks like Oda isn't trying to make Yamato Momo's employee, and is instead just making her learn about the world while he sets up a return worth looking forward to

Well, it is obvious Yamato will re-appear in the story somehow, but when and how exactly - we don't know. Same for Pudding, her being kidnapped by BBP makes her relevant to the plot again.

Hmmm I wonder which “important” characters got their good/bad future sketches added in SBS this time… let’s see… first we have Straw Hat crew, Luffy’s brothers, and… gasp… OH. MY. GOD. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT. NEFERTARI VIVI?! NO WAY?! HOW COULD SHE BE?! There’s no way anyone could see that coming. Like, what are the chances?! I mean… why her, of all people, instead of some stronger, more popular and recent nakama candidates?! WHAT DOES ODA EVEN MEAN BY THIS?! He seems like he’s hinting at something, but I really, REALLY can't put my finger on it…

Correct. Otherwise he definitely would have listed her as having some kind of function in Wano’s day to day business. Someone who is as meticulous as Oda, who for example painstakingly listed each of Big Mom’s children and what exact responsibilities each of them had in Totto Land, wouldn’t simply forget or not explain what exactly Yamato’s role is, especially when is listing all the other related characters responsibilities in that moment. He could have easily said she is “Momonosuke’s instructor” or “Momonosuke’s teacher” or like a general in Wano’s army that leads its fighting force. He specifically mentioned “she’s still learning about the world”, which is still in line with her mentioning she wants to travel out to sea, how she still wants to be part of Luffy’s crew.
