It’s just crazy how “Poor people should have access to food” is a radical stance to brainless conservatives, most of whom are also forced to live well below their means…like, you are SO much closer to living on the street than living in a gold-encrusted high-rise apartment, you’ll NEVER be able to pull your bootstrings high enough to live like the greedy billionaires who stole your hard earned money from you. It’s the ONLY thing in the Bill of Rights that they give one steaming shit about; they’ll sit idly by while their government censors anything less than full-throated support for their rampant theft, they’ll ignore the part about removing incompetent/senile old fucks from making decisions for the entire country, and they’ll cheer for disenfranchisement that revokes voting rights from minorities and women in deep red states…but by God, you even think about suggesting that they might not need an high-powered automatic rifle for home security and they will DEMAND you stop trampling all over their rights!!!

If something is not prepared and announced CLEARLY in the story, it's dangerous to have these expectations because One Piece is a week-to-week story. I never really expected Carrot to join. I rather "thought" she would join and I made a clear hypothesis/affirmation. There is here a big nuance that most people never got (even Carrot fans whom I tried to explain this). Expecting is knowing and adjusting our enjoyment based on the expectation, something happens. Thinking is different, the enjoyment is not affected if what we believe don't happen.
