i mean, that is the point though. During the british mandate, the country still wasnt theirs, they were there for rent basically. Just like the jews. That was the purpose of the british mandate in that particular region. violence between jews and arabs in the region started before the formation of israel as well.

And then the initial UN partition plan divided it into 55/45 ish % of the area. Might seem unfair at face value, but among the 55% of what was supposed to be israel there was alot of unfertile desert areas. Israel accepted this two state partition, arabs didnt. And one day after the formation of israel, palestinian arabs and armies of other neighbor countries like egypt or jordan invaded the area, with transjordan ironically being against the establishment of a palestinian state and instead wanting the land for itself, and even held the west bank for a couple decades.

since "muslim" is not an ethnic identity either, why would i assume that?

that wouldnt even remotely make any sense.
[automerge]1763390876[/automerge]

which is weird because thats the actual apartheid going on, since palestinians arent israeli citizen, the mistreatment of them doesnt fall under apartheid.

maybe not many people know about this because what they know about palestine is bad enough already and is getting major focus everywhere.

But yeah, i remember shit like forced sterilizations on ethiopian jews, disgusting
I'd disagree on this part solely because it will lead into a semantics-based argument. Palestinians aren't citizens as in they aren't granted citizenship, but they live there which makes them citizens in the broader sense. Which still makes their treatment apartheid.

Yes it does. omfg. An apartheid doesn't imply that all people must be citizen of the country. Futhermore, this apartheid also concerns citizen (/minorities).

This is an apartheid. Acted by juridic and humanitary instances.

But yeah, i remember shit like forced sterilizations on ethiopian jews, disgusting
This existed (still exist?) also with Palestinian women and women of minorities in Israel btw

Only in the Golden Age of Grifting can this dumb gash still have a career after defending the most notorious pedophile of all time…this would be completely disqualifying in a healthy and sane world; instead, she gets to pull the old HIB and act like 15 year olds are fully developed, totally viable sexual partners, almost certainly without consequence :gonope:

To segway to something else in a similar vein, Trump has ordered he FBI to investigate the Democratics and Bill Clinton for involvement with Epstein. Why? Because any files under FBI investigation can't be released. If the files are so unimportant or a hoax, why be so vehemently against them being released? 🤔

@Logiko Don't bother quoting my posts. I don't respect you enough to read or debate your schizoid delusions.

First of all: Nation-states are a modern occurence. Palestine the state did no exist, Palestine the region did. Populated by Palestinians ("Palestinian Identity" by Rashid Khalidi).

Second: Palestinians neither were offered soveriegnity nor did they decline a two state solution. Nor do they want the destruction of Jews and Israel. None of the peace talks ever looked at the Palestinian state solution as anything legitimate and the offers were down right laughable.
And even with the acceptance of the current proposal, the West Bank is being colonized as we speak. A clear showcase of state on stae aggression.

Now, if someone wants to destroy certain people it is Theodor Herzl's political project with Ben Gvir and his successors. I recommend looking into the setting up of Israel and the literal quotes of its founders that describe it as a "colonial project" in need of "critical mass" (i.e. jewish people) in order to have the majority. And the current rights (lack thereof) of the Palestinians within Israel.
Yes, Palestine, the region, did exist, and it was originally called Judea. Yes, the Palestinians were offered sovereignty multiple times actually:
1937- Peel Commission partition plan (British mandate).
1947-UN partition plan (resolution 181).
1978~79-Camp David frameworks (Egypt-Israel peace talks).
1993~1995-Oslo Accords.
2000-David Camp Summit (Clinton/Barack/Arafat).
2001- Taba negotiations.
2002-The Arab Peace Initiative.
2008-Olmert proposal to Abbas.
2014-Kerry peace plan framework talks.
2020-Trump "peace to prosperity" plan.
All of these are easily accessible to anyone on Google. A two-state solution has been tried many times, and the Arabs always rejected any talks or negotiation.
Is it me, or did you just deny that multiple terrorist organizations—like Hamas and Hezbollah—want Israel gone simply because it is a Jewish state? I won't even go deep into how other Arabic nations *cough* Iran and Qatar *cough* finance terrorism for this very goal. Back when Palestinians were under the rule of other Muslims and Arabs, there was no revolt for Palestinian identity and sovereignty. Some of the land owned by current Israel was bought by Jews; most of it was public land given by the Ottoman Empire. 160 of 193 UN member nations recognize Israel as a sovereign nation. Palestinians have no claim to Israeli lands.

it just seems odd that you’d be so against folks immigrating to Europe when your people are literally doing it
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_to_Portugal

Anyways Indians shouldn’t vote left to gain power in the west. They should vote left because, at least in America, the right is openly white/christian nationalist.
Where did I say anything about LEGAL migration? Apples to oranges, ignorant. Brazilians and Portuguese are brother nations. We have been migrating into each other's countries for centuries now. We have diplomatic arrangements concerning that too. My grandparents were Portuguese. My mom, sister, and I are Portuguese citizens. There is no migrant crisis between Portugal and Brazil. What is going on in Europe is CRIMINAL! I don't really expect a morally grounded stance from the likes of you; don't bother replying.

Not gonna lie, this sounds fishy as fuck. Why can't the orange man just release the files already? He could release the files and then order an investigation by the FBI at the same time. All the crimes coming to light would generate massive support for him. All of this makes him look bad.

That’s been the unanswered question for half a decade now; if anything exonerates him in any way, he would have made it public at 12 AM on January 21st, so where’s all this evidence of his innocence?? He’s circling the fucking drain, dude…I know Teflon Don is still undefeated when it comes to skirting the law, but this might finally break the streak

You said Palestinians want to destroy Israel and then proceed to name two terrorist organizations (only one of which is based in Palestine) that actively fight against Israel.

Talk about painting with broad strokes.
The peace talks point isn't even worth discussing when in most of them Palestine either a) wasn't directly represented by any representative, and b) deal were lopsided

Seriously, what even is the argument against M4A? Rise in premiums? No, because private insurers already do that at least once a year; restricted access to care? Every provider in the US accepts Medicare, so that’s not it either; increased risk of claim fraud? I’ve been a healthcare biller for a decade now, and I can assure y’all that kind of thing will happen no matter what, so it shouldn’t be a bigger concern than it already is. The only thing detractors can say is that it’s a socialist practice, and we’ve all waxed philosophical on that concept as is…ergo, since there’s no real reason not to open it up to everyone, then it’s gotta be the usual - the unfettered, shameless greed of people who already have more money than God :kriwhat:

My guy, Hamas was democratically elected. The Palestinians voted for a group that swore in its charter to destroy Israel way back in 1988. They were elected in 2006. You mean to tell me the Palestinians hold no ill will towards Israel? Please, we are not children here. Hamas only softened its stance in 2017.
Back in the Ottoman Empire days, there wasn't such revolt over identity and sovereignty either. All of this is in response to Zionism. I don't support everything Israel does, but there is enough historical evidence to support the claim that the nonexistence of a Palestinian state is to be blamed on the Arabs themselves:
1937- Peel Commission
Zionist leaders accepted the proposition; Arabic leaders did not. In fact, they rejected the idea of partition entirely.

1947- UN Partition Plan (Resolution 181)
The Jewish agency accepted it; Arab states and Palestinian authorities rejected it.

2000- Camp David Summit
The offer included 100% of Gaza and 90% of the West Bank. Arafat did not accept.

2008-Ehud Olmert Proposal
~94% of the West Bank, 1:1 land swaps, shared Jerusalem, and an international plan for refugees. Abbas refused.

Granted some other negotiations were fucked up by Israelis—the 2001 Taba summit, for example—but it is very clear the Arabs have always been nitpicking about these terms.

Edit: Actually, I said that "Arabs" want Israel gone. Of course, it's a generalization. Many Arab nations have strong ties with Israel and could be considered "allied" nations. You get my point.

Ignorant + coward + Fascist ideology + Colonist apologist (+ sanist)

usually apartheid refers to a state where the citizen dont have equal rights based on racial categorization. So non-citizen being mistreated is not exactly apartheid, but i think nikainparis' response was fair
Citizenship is not mentioned in the definitions, it concerns all people resident in the country and racialized groups. It's simply the case of strong a racial form of domination. Racism in the open, if you prefer. Technically, many western countries are paving the way to apartheid at the moment. I'm scared for the US especially.

Ottoman Empire in Palestine was chill compared to the Zionist deportations and genocide. As a matter of fact, Ottoman Empire as a whole was tolerant (with limits depending on which exact era) compared to its European neighbour with his « minorities » and its colonization.

Obviously not an utopia though

You are right, guess i was misremembering about citizenship being a requirement for the term to apply. my bad.

So to sum it up, Brazilian immigration is good because you’re one of the “good ones”, but other immigrants are criminals somehow.

No, Brazilians that migrate illegally deserve to be deported just like anyone else. The thing is, THERE IS NO ILLEGAL MASS MIGRATION OF BRAZILIANS GOING ON IN PORTUGAL. Btw, around ~5 million Brazilians are Portuguese citizens as well. We have received way more Portuguese in Brazil than the other way around.
There are over 25 ethnicities living in Brazil. Jews, Arabs, Asians, Africans, Europeans...you name them. We have historically received migrants from all over the world every time a conflict popped up. 99% of our population speaks Portuguese. They all assimilated into our culture, and we cherish the good things their cultures have shared with us. We don't have conflicts over ethnicity/religion.
You are trying to label me as a racist anti-immigration zealot with nothing to back your arguments. I wouldn't be saying a thing about Europe if there were no spike in criminality, disrespect of the European way of living, and political/cultural subversion perpetrated by said migrants. There would be no reason to complain about anything if life there was going on as usual; the problem is that European peace has been disturbed, and their national identities are also at risk.
But go on about how I'm such a racist for condemning ILLEGAL AND UNCONTROLLED IMMIGRATION. It's very easy to point fingers and virtue signal about shit you don't live from the safety of your mom's basement.

It would take too long to type out so here's this detailed video about the peace offers so far:

Ask any Alawite or Druze or Christian about the Ottomans, you would know that their reign in the region was basically nothing more but incompetent tyranny
I’d rather ask historians. And not even the Turkish ones.

But as I said, as a whole. Communities lived together. Wether Christian, Jewish or Muslim. With limits such as taxes higher taxes for non Muslims.

It also depends on the era. People often bring up the 19th century as if the Empire hadn’t lasted for centuries. Wether it’s Byzantium or classical Roman Empire, they never collapse in one year. There is a period of decline.

I’d rather ask historians
"O Muslims! Know and be aware that the Qizilbāsh people, whose leader is Ismail son of Ardabil has looked down on our Prophet's laws (Sharia), his custom (sunna), the religion of Islam, the religious science and the Qur'an, which tells us what is right and wrong. They have regarded the prohibitions of God as being allowed. They have offended the Holy Qur'an and burned it by throwing it into the fire. They have even seen their own damned leader as God and prostrated to him. They have cursed and denied the caliphate of the noble Abu Bakr and Umar. They have slandered and cursed the Prophet's wife, our mother Aisha. They intend to eradicate the Prophet's laws (Sharia) and the religion of Islam. Their other offensive statements and behavior similar to what is mentioned here, is known clearly by both me and the rest of the Islamic scholars. We have therefore in accordance with the rules of the religious law (Sharia) and the rights provided in our books, issued a statement (fatwa) towards this population as being infidel and pagan. It is any Muslims duty to destroy such a population. The holy martyr Muslims who die in this connection will achieve the highest paradise (Jannat ul-Ala). The infidels who die, will become contemptible and end up in a place in the deepest hell. The condition of this population is worse than the unbelievers (Christians and Jews). The animals that these people butcher or hunt down are impure (murdar), whether it is by falconry, bow or dog. The marriages they make among each other or with other populations are not valid. They have no right to inheritance. If they live in a village, only the Sultan of Islam, has the right to take over their properties and values and their children by slaughtering all the villagers. These values can only be divided between soldiers of Islam. After this collection, one should not listen to their repentances and regrets, but kill all of them. If it is known that there are any one of them or anyone who supports them here in this town, these must be killed. This kind of population is both incredulous and pagan and at the same time harmful. For these two reasons, it is necessary (vajib) to kill them. God helps those who help the religion and harms those who do harm to a Muslim"
