Nah it´s headcanon my part, but it seems only reasonable, we know:
Itachi was aware Orochimaru would be in Sasuke, he dragged the fight out for it
Itachi would obviously know that Sasuke went with Orochimaru from the Akatsuki meetings, he probably made a plan
he doesn´t seem to have actually been willing to kill Obito, Pain or Danzo, so it doesn´t seem like he would have gotten the blade for them
Orochimarus arm was sealed, so Itachi could have been inspired by that
And look, as bad as it got for Orochimaru, Alcoholic evil scientist who got an insane pardon>Hippy working at the orphanage.

Kabuto-Naruto and
Obito-Sasuke had more build up before the war. You can´t forget how Obito not only groomed Sasuke, but also helped killed his entire clan.

Sasuke is extremely realistic and cool lol idk why people hate him

His MS streak is peak. Him being edgy and psycopathic is crazy to see. Most people would go insane. It's meant to symbolize rock bottom for him and have him do actions that induce second hand embarrassment to the viewers. But who cares? Still well written to me and cool. Though nowhere near his Hebi self.
