Since the Grandline started Luffy never wins a fight against the main arc villian on the first try and this is his first bite at the apple with Imu so an L is on the horizon. Franky's ominous words this chapter about the SHs being too strong atm can only mean that Oda is going to be raising the bar coz the current bar is a bit too low for them.
Plus neither Sanji or Zoro getting proper 1 v 1s with Oda deciding to give all the other SHs and weaker allies focus I think means that we are still not yet at the point in the arc where they need to get in their bag.
Also one ting that really stuck out to me this chapter was Sanji's statement "Are these really the Holy Knights that protect Marijoea?"
Seems to imply to me that there is a reason for thier noteority that Sanji is unable to see atm and I think that could potentially be "Shamrock"
We've already seen Bummers and Bellingham's bags and they ain't cutting the mustard so Shamrock is most likely carrying in all likelihood, can see Oda going a Katakuri type route with him - "As long as he's with us, we can't lose" type of deal.
One other thing that has stuck out to me since the Holy Knights introduction has been the fact that they both have "Captain" and "Supreme Commander" titles. Pointed it out at the time but Supreme Commander only really makes sense for a large organisation with multiple divissions.
So given there are 13 contracts like most are speculating it could end up being something like this:
5 Gorosei + 8 Holy Knights with the setup of the holy knights being something like this:
8 members -> 4 each (1 Captain and 3 members) so 2 groups
Could also be that those 13 contractees are all Holy Knights.
So we could have something like this:
1 (General Commander) -> with 12 groups of 4 members each -> with each of those groups having 1 "Captain" so:
Shamrock and 2 other captains.
With those 3 being the main reason why the Holy Knigts are feared.
That would be a good way to raise the tension of the arc and save the Hoiy Knights blushes.
Also one reason why I'm leaning towards the battle extending into Marijoea was this statement from Shamrock.
"If you survive this, come and kill me, I'll be ready for you" which imo is a strong setup for Loki v Shamrock
So still think we have a long way to go in this arc.
