Imus is probably nemisis
I think Nemesis is either the sword of Mihawk's ancestors or his descendants, if wild theory of Mihawk being super old ends up true, due to Nemesis being daughter of Night...

Sword piece is definitely a WIN, but how is this relevant to your agenda? Think about it. It’s only of matter to you as a Zoro fan, if this means that Zoro has a new ceiling BUT

Mihawk is certainly no Imu’s tier and is the WSS, so neither has Zoro to be to become WSS?

Which of the following do you believe:

A) Mihawk (WSS) > Imu (sword user)
B) WSS title doesn’t include Imu, thus it doesn’t correlate to Zoro’s EoS level

If it’s A, can you explain in detail why Mihawk > Imu?
It is very simple, it doesnt matter of one is a swordsman or not, Mihawk is the strongest character in the show.

It was never about swords, swords are merely the strongest way of fighting and the strongest swordsman is strongest overall. Zoro didnt choose a style of fighting that's inferior to something else...

To make it short, Mihawk is stronger than Imu because Mihawk has stronger haki and >Haki conquers everything.

Imu is just all round stronger, but he isn't stronger with a sword
That's the thing swordbros swallowed long time ago and never could recover from...
...there is no such thing as stronger all round.
Swords are the supreme fighting ability.
It might be hard for you to believe that Mihawk is all round stronger than Imu but that's merely a problem of a given moment. There were times when Mihawk>Roger was unthinkable...

Because we know for sure, WGS doesn't have the best Haki, WSM does.
Oh did WB forge the strongest weapon or is it Mihawk?

Don't care since it doesn't matter
Chill broski, just a theory...

:suresure::suresure::suresure::suresure:

Thanks for the laughter, man!
We're all laughing now but imagine if Nik is actually correct and the tail turns out to be his sword instead lol
I don't know what's so funny about it, as I said at the beginning, it is a low effort theory... :kriwhat:

Sorry, Im not there yet, can you elaborate why and how Mihawk has better haki than Imu?

I don’t remember much of Zoro’s backstory but didn’t he want to be the strongest swordsman, not strongest through being a swordsman?

It's okay, nobody is there yet, probably...
It's just a matter of perception in the current moment.

Mihawk is the forger of the strongest weapon in the world and that's achieved through haki = Mihawk's haki is the strongest in the world.
Oda didnt accidentally hand out the strongest weapon to Mihawk, he knew what he was doing the entire time. People are simply uncomfortable with implications behind this because it is a challenge on Zoro's path instead of Luffy's but that's all because people misunderstood the very point behind Luffy's and Zoro's purpose...

Luffy's has never been the character designed to be the strongest, he is the greatest leader figure of the show, the legendary liberator.
Zoro is the one tied to strength with a goal of becoming the strongest and the swords are the supreme tool of achieving that.

There is also another reason why Mihawk's haki is the strongest - so the challenge is impossible, that it cannot be achieved, even for Zoro.
We now know that if the foe has a haki that you cannot break through, all your efforts are in vain.

If someone else was able to beat Mihawk, in any way, Zoro's purpose would lose it's meaning. If someone else was the strongest instead of Mihawk, Zoro's aim would have been futile and his dream would not come true.

If you find the SBS, where Oda draws what goes on in each of SHs heads, can you guess what is more important to Zoro than Swords? Strength.

Zoro vs Mihawk is the fight with the longest build up in the show, the ultimate fight between two strongest characters in the show with one reward - the World's Strongest.

Roger didn't need the strongest weapon to be equal of WSM WB, Mihawk despite having black blade can't be equal to WSM WB.
That is correct, Mihawk is not the equal of WB, he is a superior.
You didnt think this through, WSM and even WSC are additions to the story due to popularity...
... however they have never threatened the one saved up for the final saga, the core of the story.
WB was a relic of a different era while Kaido was a rumored strongest.
Mihawk is neither a rumor nor a relic of a past era, he is the one who awaits at the top, no matter how long it takes.
As you can see, for 29 years straight, Oda has been making up more and more powerful foes but he remains constant - Yoru remains supreme.
Not even the guy with 20-sword swallowing style is allowed to dethrone it...

There is a lot to disagree here, but let’s keep it simple.

1. Why call Mihawk the world’s strongest “swordsman” and not man then? Seems extremely counterintuitive to your claim.
2. Have we gotten any prove that Mihawk forged Yoru?

This (2) is highly speculative, so I have a hard time understanding your religious conviction here.

I agree with the tail being important but I dont think that is a weapon that ate a zoan and then fused with Imu etc.
The haters have been starving for long and this was the best thing they could spin to downplay Zoro. The very first thing for Imus introduction to us in his arsenal was the use of his tail to attack Cobra and then again to attack Sabo. So the use of the tail as a killing and go to weapon for Imu is established.
The tail is mostly shown as a strong part of most villains in shonen and this is probably drawn from animals having very strong tails like crocs and kangaroos. Yet to downplay Zoro the haters say he was tail diffed or snot diffed where both are very far from what actually happened.
And the tail being the weapon of Imu used against Zoro lines up perfectly with Imu kicking Sanji and Imu punching Luffy with a homing punch, showing superiority in the same expertise. The difference though is neither Luffy nor Zoro were put down by Imu showing this superiority. Zoro was blocked/parried with the weapon but defeated with bullets (bringing sword to gunfight) while Luffy was defeated with sword (weakness to blades) while Sanji was defeated with a kick/exploding kick.
Whenever these subtle things are pointed out it is always disregarded as cope. They cannot even read the panels right. Ask them the movement of Imus tail to block the attack and you will get the weirdest of answers, some will say Imu raised his tail to block the attack. They will also ignore the shock on Imus tail from the block. And when they cant debunk this they will just resort to calling it tail diffed.

Because he is that, a swordsman...
...I think it is more fitting title than just calling him a man. The highest decoration in a Sword Piece belongs to supreme swordsman.

Have we gotten proof that Ryuma forged Shusui black? No... Is there any reason to doubt them forging their blades black? None except agenda.

When Roger faces WB's commander:

When Mihawk face WB's commander:

Yes... All you have to do is look past those irrelevant kling klangs...
Or if you capable, understand why postponement benefited both.
But I am quite sure ur not interested in that because it doesnt fit the agenda...
The showing against Vista doesnt chain Mihawk down to Vista's level, there are no chains to Mihawk's strength.
>This sword knows no bounds...

So let me reduce this to a few straightforward questions:

- Can you show the panel where Zoro says he wants to become the strongest human, person, creature or living being, without the qualification “swordsman”?
- Can you show where Mihawk is called the strongest character overall, rather than the World’s Strongest Swordsman?
- Can you show proof that Mihawk personally turned Yoru black?
- Can you show proof that creating a black blade requires the strongest Haki in the world?
- Can you show proof that nobody stronger than Mihawk can exist without invalidating Zoro’s dream?
- Can you explain why Mihawk’s qualified title must be expanded beyond its wording, WHILE Whitebeard’s and Kaido’s broader titles can simply be dismissed?

If every answer requires another interpretation, assumption or appeal to what the story “must” mean, then you are really not deriving your conclusion from evidence. You are starting with “Mihawk is the strongest” and constructing enough speculative bridges to arrive back at it.

At some point, the fact that none of the decisive premises can be demonstrated should make you reconsider whether this is textual analysis or merely an agenda being reverse-engineered into the manga.

With all due respect, this is all a conclusion-first argument:

1. Zoro must become the strongest character.
2. Therefore Mihawk must currently be the strongest character.
3. Therefore Yoru must prove Mihawk has the strongest Haki.
4. Therefore Mihawk must have forged Yoru black.
5. The evidence that he forged it is that nobody has explicitly said he did not.

That is a mixture of begging the question, argument from ignorance and narrative wishful thinking.

Mihawk’s actual title is World’s Strongest Swordsman. You are removing the limiting word “swordsman” and claiming his real title is effectively just “the strongest,” because that better fits your conclusion. Yet Kaido’s and Whitebeard’s explicitly broader titles are dismissed as rumours or outdated. That is special pleading: Mihawk’s title is interpreted as broadly as possible, while every competing title is weakened as much as necessary.

The black-blade argument is just another stack of unsupported assumptions:

Yoru is a black blade -> Mihawk personally forged it black -> blackening requires the world’s strongest Haki -> therefore Mihawk has the world’s strongest Haki.

None of those transitions has been established. “There is no reason to doubt it” is not evidence; it merely shifts the burden of proof.

And saying Zoro’s dream would otherwise “lose its meaning” is not proof either. Zoro wants to become the world’s strongest swordsman, not the strongest living being through the technicality of using swords.

So the reasoning is ultimately circular: Mihawk must be the strongest because Zoro must surpass the strongest, and Zoro must surpass the strongest because Mihawk is his final opponent. Everything between those two claims is speculation being presented as confirmation.

Why should anyone who does not already share the agenda accept that?
