Well yeah, that's because Luffy knows that, that type of Haki is the basis to destroy from within. Penetration is going to do a lot more damage than barrier though.

Im not debating whats going to do more damage, luffy only wanted stage one to hurt kaido and said what hyou did was what he needed to hurt kaido, so luffy didnt need to use penetration to hurt kaido, yet he has it all the same.

Yeah, that's Luffy's assumption that it will work. He won't know for sure until he actually tries it, and if it fails, I don't think it's a coincidence that he also acquired the ability to destroy from within as a result of trying to learn the initial barrier form.

Internal destruction will not allow for the blades to enter the body, because that is just injecting the haki itself into the person body. Whatever the scabbards did, it served to make their blades sharper so they could pierce through Kaido's skin. From what we can gather with the little information we know at the moment, injecting their Haki into Kaido's body wouldn't achieve allowing their blades to cut through him.

Bro wtf are you on about. Its there in front of your face just read the panels.
They used stage one it made their attack stronger and they pierced his skin.
Thats what hyou can do.
Hyou cant do internal destruction.
That actually tells us something right there. Ryuma, Zoro, and Hyou are all classified as what is known as "The Mighty Blade" type of swordsman. Hyou however is not capable of using Internal destruction haki.

In the panel Hyou literally states that the type of haki he is trying to teach protects you like an invisible armor. So explain to me how something that is meant to protect like armor serves to pierce through Kaido's skin.

If you could read more than one line i wouldnt have to. I shouldnt have to hold your finger under the line for you to read and spoon feed it to you anymore than showing you the panels
Internal destruction coa is not a swordsman thing, a swordsman is more something like "there is nothing I can not cut" instead of "I can not cut it but I will damage it nonetheless". Call it ryou, the breath of all things he unlocked back in Alabasta, something he did vs Pica (he recited the whole "there is nothing I can not cut" formula begore slicing the giant).

Ffs like that translation changes my point.
The fact that the ryou can be used offensively was my point.
Thats what its used with an open palm not a sword.
