Title says it all. I believe Hawkins was terribly nerfed by Oda and will explain why

1- Pretimeskip he mentioned that fighting an admiral with just 10 bodies isn't wise, implying he could at least stock 10bodies

Yet apparently post-timeskip, his body store limit remained 10?

When you look at the big power difference the SHs and others guys like Law received with their abilities from pretimeskip to post-timeskip(pretimeskip Law only displayed a small room comparatively to his massive rooms in PH and dressrosa for example), it made this weird

2- We saw that when Hawkins' ability is available, he can transfer Law's room slashes to his subordinates without losing a life due to Law's room slashes not killing people

It was further confirmed when indicated Law would need to slash for the kill to run out his doll supply

And pretimeskip, Hawkins' ability could operate on people located multiple grooves apart

And thus technically, post-timeskip Hawkins could have easily have been able to place his dolls supplies far out Law's reach even in case he wanted to attack them instead of him, and thus essentially making him then immune to Law's regular/range room slashes since he'd be able to redirect them to anyone of his doll supplies infinitely without losing any doll, with Law needing close range named attacks reduce his doll supply

But not only, he never used that aspect of his ability somehow, but he decided to somehow not replenish his doll supply, only coming with the 3 live of Law's subordinates outside of his own

And the worse thing is that even those doll supplies ended up released at the cause of Law's capture, a moment when Hawkins could have killed Law anytime, but decided to keep him alive for interrogation purposes instead.

Resolution which due to betrayal of mysterious guy(clearly Drake) ended up playing against his favor, since he ultimately ended up facing Law with no doll supply available

3- Preskip Hawkins again had a last ressort technique that he used against Kizaru when he was running out of dolls. His goma no sou

Yet somehow never used it against Law? Also considering this ability allows him to sprout straws over his body, shouldn't it technically allow him to reattach his limbs even in case he was split by Law's ability?

I don't think it's so much nerfed as much as his potential was held back hella

Cos nerfed would imply that we knew for a fact he's much stronger but was restricted by Oda, whereas in this situation we don't actually know how strong Hawkins is to say he was nerfed, but we can definitely say his potential was restricted

Zoro went from 108 PC to 1080 PC, Luffy went from Gigant Pistol to King Kong Gun, Hawkins went from 10 dolls to... 10 dolls? Seems sus af, man barely grew outside of haki

First, Hawkins can't attach his limbs once it got cut down. He isn't Logia nor his Df works like that especially when cut by law who is a surgeon in his own room.

Second, the issue isn't that Hawkins still has only 10 dolls but apart from this hax dB ability, Hawkins isn't much of a threat.

His Df abilities are underutilized. Infact, what I observed so far is he is over dependent on having 10 lives so his approach to fight had been casual or was never pushed to extreme.

One can infer from this that even his Haki would be under developed.

Third, I don't know how you guys are taking it but to me it's Drake who is getting played here by Hawkins and Law. Whole Hawkins and Law scenario seem to be a setup to me by these two especially when we consider that they two are the smartest SNs we have.

This is why I don't like when battles get offpanel. We know the outcome but how that outcome came to be is important !!

We should’ve expected this. Bege wasn’t impressive and neither was Killer. Hawkins is too irrelevant to be strong.
Bege ended up a better tank than zoan Queen, so I wouldn't say he was unimpressive.

Come to think of it Luffy got one shot by base Kaido, whom was stalemated by BM. Bege was pretty impressive taken all things into consideration.

But I would say more than nerf, Oda pretty much showed that he didn't grow at all while everybody else did... which is weird and bs...

Quite true, that is quite the defensive power... probably the best among the supernovas

Luffy got hit by a named attack, Queen tanked her blows and took more severe damage but was relatively unharmed.

Bege screamed in pain after one punch lol

Capone screamed in pain, while Luffy gets KOd. Hmmm, obviously this proves Luffy has better endurance.

Kaido's attack was stronger, but BM used multiple attacks so...

Also, Boundman got KOd by BM, no named attack, but she did use haki.
