He said that it never drops to 0 but this might be as close as it gets to dying.

It doesn´t make anysense if Hawkins mean Luffy with the 1%, two weeks ago he already make a 1month predict for Luffy+Zoro, I think he overall mean xDrake with it.

It just means the other % was for Zoro. Luffy contributed only 1%...

Really frustrating tbh, Luffy has become much stronger than before yet Oda writes the exact same as 20 years ago.
Numbers shouldn't hold Luffy back for more than 10 seconds, but gotta stall until chapter 1000 somehow.

I’m saying it feels like a side case bc it seems he doesn’t care about Kaido. This is nothing like reaching Ace, defeating Arlong, taking down Lucci. In the long scope of things Kaido is simply one of the Yonko. This is only a fraction of those who he has to take down, and that’s why he doesn’t care

If it gets revealed that it is Kaido then the story suffers but if it is Luffy, the story benefits from it.

No, Hawkins said long ago that his chance never drops to 0% but 1% is as close as it gets.
Luffy almost dying is good for the story. Kaido almost dying is nothing new.
