Look I agree Mihawk is either top 1 or almost there. But y’all really need to stop the Yonko disrespect. Like I’m really getting the vibe that people are literally just dissing Big Mom and Kaido because they’re defensive of other top tiers that they like, such as the admirals for example.

Let’s go over Big Mom’s feats shall we?


Story/Lore significance from the Ace Novel
- Big Mom was the first Yonko ever, and the first pirate to control a massive territory
- She was rivals with Roger, WB, and Shiki, who she often clashed with (it literally says this). Note that she wasn’t just a pirate operating at the same time as them, she was EXPLICITLY one of their rivals.
- Her empire motivated Whitebeard to start his (yep)

Durability:
- Explicitly stated to have “never gotten hurt”, despite decades of operation in the highest level sea on the planet
- Tanked giant sword strikes at age 5 (the swords shattered)
- Fore-armed a Kong Gun and lol’d
- Only top tier other than Mihawk and Kizaru to have no scars

Strength:
- Physically strong enough to casually create energy waves that pulverize things for miles
- Casually KO’d potentially the most durable executive in Kaido’s crew while in an extremely nerfed state
- Tied with Kaido in a clash of physical strength

Devil:
- Can insta kill anyone who shows fear
- Can control the weather
- Can instantly create armies
- Can create massive blasts of fire
- Can fly
- Can send potentially commander level homies (Prometheus, Zeus) to fight independent of her

Haki:
- Explicitly shown using advanced armament in the anime.
- Has powerful enough Haoshoku to make characters like Oven, Daifuku, Smoothie, and Katakuri wince in pain. Compare this to Shanks, who’s Haoshoku had no effect on characters on Marco and Jozu

I agree the way Shishio presents his arguments is eh, but his points are mostly true. Mihawk isn't the Saitama of One Piece, but i believe he's the strongest currently until there's more feats available for the rest of the top dogs given how shit stains like Meme and Kaido are holding up in comparison.

You have BM get clowned on panel by fodders, and it's easy for the fanbase to defend her, Mihawk gets "stalled" (truth is as we've said numerous times he never gave a shit about Vista) and it's the worst showing ever. It's easy to see why some people get defensive over this shit.

God awful logic. If Mihawk is top dog in the verse why was he discarded like some cheap toy and replaced by artificial constructs? You have no feats to justify him being #1. The strongest person in the verse wouldn't be tossed away into a garbage pile that has Buggy in it. He himself implies that he was weaker than a sick Newgate when he went to "measure" unless you're going to say he was literally measuring distance.

You can bring up "Anti-Feats" for Linlin and Kaido but they actually have feats of beating strong people and others actually hyping them up. Mihawk's best feat is cutting ice which has a 1.5 on an absolute hardness scale. If you want, I can even go for low hanging fruit such as that his training opponents are sword wielding baboons and that he'd rather chase the likes of Don Kreig all the way to East Blue than actually go challenge someone strong in the New World.

Big mom was literally one of the main pirate forces in the world, along with Primebeard, Roger, and Shiki.

The Ace Novel literally says that Whitbeard, Roger, Shiki, and Big Mom were the Yonko of the previous generation.

Big Mom is not just a current Yonko, she’s also a legacy fighter from Roger’s generation. People really be acting like she gets mid-diffed by Fujitora.

Look, there's a million different ways to consider someone "strong". This was even mentioned in One Piece magazine. At the end of the day, it's Oda's criteria that matters. According to his criteria Kaido is overall the "strongest", which he made clear it was because of his tough skin.

So while I do think Mihawk is more than capable of beating Kaido 1 v. 1, Kaido's defence should be massively superior to Mihawk's. But make no mistake. Kaido is not undefeatable.

The ace novel pretty much confirms the Yonko are the 4 strongest pirates in the world and that to be one, you must at least be as strong as Shanks. Whats Mihawks profession/occupancy?

The "black blade" mythology has been developed since East Blue. Ryuma was considered a God and single handedly kept the World Government out of Wano.

We literally have no indication that anyone other than Mihawk has turned a blade black in One Piece.

First of all, we don't know that they just send fodder. Nice headcanon.

Second, Mihawk wasn't discarded easily. Literally everyone at the highest level in the government supported the Schichibukai system except Fujitora. That's kinda the whole point of his side story.

Third, if anything the ship scene is meant to highlight the difference between Mihawk and the other Schichibukai. He had wayyyyy more ships sent after him than any other schichibukai.
