I don't think it had anything to do with Katakuri's strength, Big Mom is the tyrannical mother who does not stand her children acting out of how she wants them to act and given her pride in her strength she is hardly one who stands being protected by anyone else either.

Like I've been saying, the gap between Commanders and Yonkos is massive. The Warlords fill that gap in the Pirate World. Katakuri was just a last minute retcon by Oda just like Rob Lucci to give Luffy an opponent in an escape arc.

Warlords are absolutely not over Commanders. Yonko Commanders can actually challenge Gear 4 unlike warlords. And idk why you put zoro and sanji in that commander tier. Even if you think their gonna fight king and queen we know Oda is going nerf them too like he's doing with Kaido.

The fact that Perospero and Marco come to negotiation, doesn't prove that Perospero is weaker than Marco, actually that proves that Marco respect Perospero.

Yes this exchange had her pissed at Katakuri, it's not enough to tell us about their usual interactions and how she talks to Katakuri most of the time.
