Current Events Absurd or illogical moments and storylines in Wano arc ?

But next to none of these posts even work as viable criticisms of the story. Maybe if the title of the thread was: "Things That Don't Personally Make Sense To You In Wano" I might have less of an issue it.
Sorry, but no.

There are quite a lot of posts that point out blatantly obvious consistency problems and storywriting flaws.

It has nothing to do with personal preferences.

Things like WB & Co. not caring and not even knowing (!) about their "brother" Oden for 20+ years, only because it's difficult to enter Wano, is just stupid beyond belief.

I didn't say none of you had any points. I said next to none. The vast majority of posts are just silly.

Some are decent but at the same time do have very obvious explanations. Like the WB example you just brought up.

This WB example is bad writing.

No way to sugarcoat it.

I would like to hear your "explanation" though. Go on.

I'm 100% sure you'll realize yourself how ridiculous any attempt at justifying this bullshit is, while you write it.

Eh. Not really. It's not anything new either. It's a mentally that we've seen pretty commonly throughout the series.

It's part of a larger post I wanna do on Pirates at some point. I'll probably break it down in one of my posts about Wano after it concludes.
Sure you'll break it down one day lmao.
You simply can't explain it without blushing, because it's such a trainwreck of a writing decision.

Uh no? It's the same as you not feeling like typing up an essay for everything you think is wrong with Wano.
I'd be spending a while typing it up and even more time defending it. *shrugs* I'm simply not in the mood for the debate right now..

The fact that WB sacrificed his life and thousands of his underlings and allies, facing the strongest group of the entire series, for Ace, while Oden was there suffering against Kaido, an opponent the WB pirates could defeat rather easier than the marines, especially with Wano help. And Izou was there with them lol. WB 100% knew wano was Kaido's turf way before Ace visited the country, but still didnt do shit.

Oh, lets talk about the fucking Sumo guy shall we. What the fuck was that? Waste of pannels only, lol.

Oh, and Kyoshori easily handcuffing the fat dude from the flying six and not killing him. Oda, at least do a fancy one pannel fight like youve been doing, what is the point of handcuffing ?

Not saying there aren't inconsistencies, but I feel like the WB thing isn't inconsistent. Marco literally says they didn't realize it was that bad. They didn't even know Oden was dead.

For all they knew, it could have just been another pirate territory just like Whitebeard had with Ryuugu Kingdom/Fishman island. Isn't it a little hypocritical of WB to just go and invade another pirates territory based simply on the ideology that Kaido took over Wano?

Like, yes, if they KNEW Kaido was this evil man who sided with a lowly Shogun to overthrow and kill Oden, then yes Oda was entirely being inconsistent here. But to me the way he wrote it out actually makes sense in the contenxt.

Nobody knew Oden was dead, nobody knew how Wano was being ruled by Kaido.

Now, before we say ANYTHING about Ace being at Wano 4 years prior, realize that we have yet to get that Yamato/Ace flashback to know how much Ace actually knew before he left. We can't really say there is an inconsistency there because we have yet to know how much Ace knew or how much he even told Whitebeard after joining his crew.

As I explained here in the beginning- https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/forum/threads/sanji-and-the-group-will-save-momo.5609/

Oda just went braindead when he split everyone up. He either didn't knew Onigashima layout or had no idea how this all will play out.

In the end, characters splitting up served no purpose nor was it logical how they arrived:
>Everyone was targeting Kaido's castle yet they all arrived to performance hall for no reason
>Luffy Zolo arrived to performance floor, split up and then arrived to performance floor AGAIN. They LITERALLY did a 180
>There was no reason for the Law and scabbard side plot going around the ocean just to arrive to performance floor.

It's legit bad writing, but personal preference.

The SHs were on a stealth mission to infiltrate Wano, not draw attention to themselves and gain allies. For some reason, everyone let Zoro walk around with the national treasure of the country they're sneaking around in....

Kinemon tried to kill Zoro when he first laid eyes on it and in DR, argued with Zoro to return the blade. Hiyori even prioritized Shusui over the blade of her own father.

Zoro even apologized to Kinemon for blowing his cover. How did his cover get blown? The people noticed the Shushi he was carrying in the open...

Is all this bad writing or just personal stuff we didn't like?

It was Sasaki. Kyoshiro didnt kill Sasaki because they developed a genuine friendship but the question is how Sasaki got tied up so easily. There wasnt a scuffle either.

This one too.

Trashmato. Irrelevant character added 80 chapters deep for the reason of using Oden's logbook in the story.
