That has been bothering me too, I guess he just wanted to conveniently save them to show off here vs Kaido. Enhance their impact and whatever. Still gives me vibes of plot convenience or even dare I say a Deus Ex Machina lol. If this was more of an advanced ninjutsu thing instead, it could make more sense imo. It works as a DF too, it's just why hasn't he used it before then? Especially when they were attacked by the Beast Pirates 20 years ago?
The scrolls are apparently immune to fire, which should counter scrolls in the first place but I guess the "magic" of them immunises them and makes them even counter the fire as we saw.. That seems more of a DF type thing then imo, which begs the question, is Hawkins straw immune or vulnerable (as it should be) to fire?

I mean the Scabbards being able to use Oden's technique and this Ryuo and all that brings up some more questions now about their past portrayals too.

Exactly, it was literally a walking colossal fortress made out of stone. That is an insanely awesome and powerful feat for Zoro to take him down so easily. Sure he needed help to get into the air and that's Zoro's major weakness right there (hence why Zoro vs King would be difficult for Zoro especially too), but to take down such massive behemoth thats made of actual stone is seriously impressive.

He didn't care about his surroundings because he wanted to save a loved one - sounds like pretty much every person. And that doesn't make him a bad person, because of one thing lol.
He saved multiple islands and thousands of people from bad guys. Bonney even said to Zoro what Pirate would help a person. Zoro brought a random guy to the hospital. The SH's are real Pirates!

Yep the Straw Hats are in truth just adventurers who just a black flag than pirates.

Time to stop reading the manga and pretend it ended with Perospero never defeated by that rabbit.

Good chapter. The stuff with with BM was very interesting and a chill moment for this action packed chapter.
I feel that the panel with Luffy and the one of Carrot were a waste of space. The Carrot avenging Pedro thing, it can both make and not make sense.
I see some people mentioning about why Kaido does not go into his hybrid mode and I don't understand it, where was it confirmed that he is a zoan?
Kaido using boro breath repeatelly reminds me of Ichigo's getsuga tensho (too overused)
I do not get why Kaido keeps taking damage instead of counterattacking as the so called strongest creature....is it because he wants to die? You know his suicidal tendencies.
Anyways I loved the scabbards attacks

Right now how Oda hyping up Oden with Kaido himself, can you imagine what Toei gonna do with him, if Oda hype them they pass him twice by hyping Oden.


Hope Toei add more for Oden skillmoves in the anime, I like his fight style already in the manga, he had really great attack panels.
He is a mixup of Kaido/Big mom, physical a monster with a very strong ryou and speedstar, hope Toei gonna make it great, the flashback. But seeing how Oda hyping Oden, am sure they do the twice of hyping Oden in the anime.

Why there are people who still think that black maria is bad?she is a good person and she probably help the alliance
