Luffy is the MC and has the greatest plot armor. Even then, at least Kizaru and Mihawk broke through his defenses. Zoro didn't TOUCH Apoo yet

I understand your perspective. My simple answer to that is, Zoro is here to finish what Oden started. I know it might seem blasphemous to even say that, but we are in Wano and the central narrative must progress. We’re not so far away from the one piece or Raftel. The third red Road Poneglyph has just been discovered. And it’s a bare necessity to have Zoro at least be Yonko Commander 1 level by now

Zoro has no connection to oden and is not even technically a samurai. there has been no foreshadowing to zoro killing kaido especially since enma wasn't the only sword to cut kaido...now even scabbards are doing it.
zoro barely kills too.
Luffy is the one who will take down the main badguy at the end of the arc like he always does.

Kizaru failing to kill a fodder version of Luffy is even more disgraceful than Zoro dealing 0 damage to Apoo.

Also Mihawk should have dealt way more damage to Vista, cause he had no reason to waste his time. This means that Vista himself was under plot armor.

In other words, plot armor applies when it is convenient to the author, regardless of the character in question.

He does it as a technique to render his manga more interesting, or to better say, more good looking, even though sacrificing stuff like power levels.

- Oden and Toki; Zoro & Hiyori. Oden saves Toki and Zoro saves Hiyori. Oden grabs Toki; Hiyori clutches onto Zoro
- Oden cuts down the Bandit Ashura and sits atop him like a prize. Zoro cuts down Gyukimaru the Bandit and sits atop him
- Zoro is connected to Wano thru Wado Ichimonji, Shusui, his master Koushiro, Shimotsuki Village (and his birthday which literally falls on November or Frost Moon), Shimotsuki Kozaboro ties, he looks exactly like Shimotsuki Ushimaru and Shimotsuki Ryuma
- Zoro has precedence for slaying an Eastern Dragon, and a magazine says there will be a new lore of slaying a Western Dragon. Kaido is a western Dragon
- Oden attacked Orochi and was stopped so he goes to war with Kaido. Zoro attacked Orochi and was stopped by Kyoshiro, then he aims for Kaido (several chapters he states he’s aiming for Kaido in Onigashima)

Not necessarily, depends on whether Vegapunk had access to the fruit and if he could study the power directly from it, or even if by studying the genes of its user he was able to isolate those changed by the ability and reproduce them in an artificial fruit. We need more information to discuss this, anyways.
